To get my 2013 up, I always have to drive onto 2 stacked 2x4s. This is so I can get the floor jack under the cross member.

I've used 2x4s in the past to drive other low clearance cars onto ramps. Just drive slow

Bought a quickjack last month and my only regret was not getting this years earlier and could have avoided all the swearing from working under a car on ramps/jackstand for many years. The 21" max lift def blows away the room you get using jacks or ramps. Set up takes the same time as jacking up the car and placing 1-2 jackstands.

I know this is an old thread but I figured better than starting the exact same topic...

My question is, I bought nameless axlebacks, I was going to grab some rhino ramps for the install...

Anyone used these while backing up onto them? No lip on my front bumper, so clearance should be fine?

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

don't buy rhino ramps mine cracked on me over time and I had to throw them away. Tried contacting them and no response, they don't stand behind their products. Better off getting a jack anyways and going off the rear diff or 4 jack stands. Jack stands > plastic ramps

cant speak for the rhino ramps, but i have the 10" extended length 2 piece raceramps. they are expensive, but well worth it. driven on them forward and back, plenty of room under the car with them.

I've had Rhino ramps for several years now. I can back up onto them with an Invidia Q300 no problem. I have a front lip on, and in order to drive on forwards I have to put down a couple pieces of wood in front, otherwise it's real close (stock height).

They have worked fine and I've never had any issues with them, but don't get them. You are better off just using jack stands like standardtranny says. Jack stands and a couple 2x4's is all you need to raise either the entire car or front/back.

Jack stands are much more useful and versatile. The Rhino ramps are pretty limited in their usefulness, like you can't take off the tires or do brakes or anything with the ramps. I find myself always just using jack stands even though I have the ramps.

Got it. Thanks again. Ill look into jack stands. If I am being honest I've never used them but I am confident I can figure it out. Where are the jack-points? I guess I can just look under there.

When I used ramps, I simply built them from scrap 2x4's and 2x6's I had hanging around. Can't beat $0. These days, I use my lift.

So the jack points are at the pinch welds:


These are also the locations you can put the jack stands when you are trying to lift the entire car.

You can also use these jack locations:


If you are trying to jack up the entire front/rear of the car, you will want to use the jacking locations shown above, and then place the jack stands at the pinch welds.

If you don't have a jack already, make sure to get a low profile jack. It's a tight fit to get at that front cross member (jack point "A"), so even with a low profile jack you may need to drive (or jack up) the front tires onto some 2x4's. The rear diff (jack point "B") is easier to get at.

I'm the opposite. I have RaceRamps and SafeJacks (Rennstand - which can't get any easier to place a car on jack stands as it uses the factory jack points) but I prefer using RaceRamps for oil changes and jobs that do not require the suspension to be in a free state like doing coilovers, etc because it is just faster to setup/tear down, and to me feels much safer when raising/lowering the car.

Yes to that.

I have both... would rather get under the car on ramps. Plus ramps is a 10 sec effort. For brakes, wheel changes, suspension stuff jackstands are ok.

Mine gets up on ramps no problem with some room to spare to the front lip. Car is not lowered though... I presume anything more than 0.5" drop will make the front lip catch.

Not Rhino. Mine are "Certified", they're 13 degree ramps. But I have plenty of room with stock suspension. My driveway slopes down too which makes it worse on the approach. You'll probably need some 2x4 studs to climb on Rhinos with a lip, but even this is no big deal; easy to rig.

Also i have the OEM front lip. Some front lip models have a thicker lip...

You'll want to lube the V surface before use as after a while the pinch weld will catch the slanted surface of the V and potentially bend your fender to push-outward on the front as the fender panel is connected there. I had a similar one with a V shape and stopped using them. A simple slot is much better.

Just to update, I ended up going with rhino ramps because lazy and they actually worked great. There's a two year warranty so if they're going to crack hopefully it's before then.

No bumper clearance issues whatsoever although I reversed up them.
