How would the driveline in the Crosstrek handle soft sand? We had an 02 forester that did 6 summers out on the beach. Never got stuck. Other CUVs out there would overheat clutch packs, diffs, etc, forcing them to get stuck with FWD. Hoping the Crosstrek has a legit, robust all-wheel drive system that doesn't overheat & fail like other manufacturers.

im new to subaru, and ive just bought a crosstrek. having said this, im also brand spanking new to the tuner world. im a muscle car guy all the way but of all the research ive done i must say i really love the engineering and potential of these boxer engines. my buddy has an sti and yea he talks it up all the time.

long freaking post short: there are no parts for this damn thing because its so new. im looking to fabricate everything, i dont know if ill put a turbo or supercharger in it, im going towards a rally version. ill post pics as they come. ive already done some paint on the body. Are there any other like minded subie people out there that see wat i see in this car

Usually takes a couple years for stuff to come out. It definitely would be a bad ass offroader

I'm a dealer for a Subaru/Ford dealership in NY and I bought a CrossTrek for myself about 2 weeks ago and I really like it. I bought it b/c I've been a loyal Subaru owner for several years (this is my third and I also have an '07 STi) and I needed something with enough room for me and my family, as well as something with an auto for the days I don't feel like shifting my own gears. I wish the CrossTrek was a bit quicker (totally spoiled by the STi), but other than that, I really enjoy it. For the price, you can't beat it.
