Also, tell us of any "good" TDY's you may have experienced!

best TDY was in 2019 when I got to jump in the 75th anniversary of Market Garden in Holland. Earned a set of German jump wings, drank some fantastic beer, and chased Dutch girls, 10/10 experience.

Drove from FAFB out to McChord Joint Base on a 16hr TDY just to test a hydro line for them because they didn't know how. For some reason...

Best TDY was a 6 day "deployment" to Rota, Sandbox, Qatar, and back to Rota. Was very busy but was the coolest thing I've done since I've been in.

I've been deployed to Japan but that's about it. Haven't been in for very long. Had my bugeye for a little over a year. The clearcoat hates the desert but for the most part it runs fine. working on the car when its 115 in the summer isnt always fun though.

I actually have a question for all you subie/wrx owners: anybody ever brought theirs overseas?

I have a follow on to Sigonella, Italy (rough, I know) and want to bring my 2018 premium because I love it so much, but I want to hear about any pitfalls with having our car overseas.

I'm averagely handy: oil change, tire rotations, fluids, clean/replace air filters (cobb intake), and running a stage 1+ tune via the accessport.

Any word on fuel type over there? getting parts? anything helps, thanks all!

Did anyone ever reply? I think about taking mine as well. Any issues?

Army here. About to PCS to Weisbaden. Taking my STI with me. Any recommendations for anyone who has done this in the past? Issues?
Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Most people would never expect the Coast Guard travels outside the US. But I've done deployments to most of the Caribbean islands and Central/South America, I did a 4 month deployment to Western Africa, and did a 1 year deployment in the middle east in Manama, Bahrain.
Now I get to enjoy all the craziness South Florida has to offer.

Back in the day, when the draft was still a thing, a "clever thing" to avoid going to Nam was to join the Coast Guard. It seemed that word didn't get back very often that the coasts being guarded were river banks in country. In country meaning in Viet Nam.
