Aem Ems 4 installation
Hello guys, I have a thread started for a project I’m working on. It’s a 2000 outback that I’m doing a 257 built short block, 251 heads, completely custom setup. Anyways, I’m wanting to see if I can get some information on physically wiring in a universal harness with the AEM ems. Have any of you done this and could shine some light on it for me? I’m pretty knowledgeable when it comes to wiring in injectors in previous Honda’s I’ve owned and wiring in different sensors but over need one one full on. Just wanting to see how long I can expect this to take and potential problems I may face. Thanks guys, Dave

I’ve been doing a lot of research on this and I’ve come to the conclusion that the aem ems4 will take over all controls to the engine, meaning map, injectors, iacv, tps, coil, cam and crank censor, and then certain things can be left connected to the factory ecu like maybe the factory o2 sensors, coolant temp, ac controls etc. Am I understanding that correctly? Anyone using this engine management system?
