Has anyone figured out how to wire the fogs so they stay on when you put the high beams on?

If you are using one of the aftermarket kits they should all tap into the high/low fuse locations so by default the fogs come on whenever the headlights are on including hi beams. I suppose you could just tap the lows though.

I read there was no factory wiring for fogs on the 2018 STI. I did not see any plugs or wiring for them when I was under the car installing the fog lights either. I had installed a factory set of fog lights on my 2006 STI back when I owned it so I think I would have noticed the plugs. I used an aftermarket wiring harness when I installed the set on my 2018.

The instructions are from Subaru, pretty straight forward, the relay goes behind the back of the glove box, the kit has a fog light switch and a bezel that replaces the factory blank bezel on the left of the steering wheel and there should be a plug that is tucked/tied away behind it on a random harness that you plug in on the switch provided. https://stis.subaru.com/proxy/75344/...FogLampKit.pdf Last edited by CFM56; 04-27-2019 at 11:32 PM. |

Got a 20 STI here & been trying to find info on adding the fog lights. Called 2 dealers & they said the Subaru fog light kit isn’t compatible, even though the Subaru parts website said they are, but the fog light harness is behind the panel to the left of the steering wheel ready to be connected. I’m absolutely baffled. Anyone have any luck?

18's, 19's and 20's all use the same kit from subispeed. I have an '18 and recently received the same kit from subispeed but also ordered the JDM S4 DRL (+fog) bezels. I am going to be running new fog light wiring, and using the switch from the kit to install next to my steering wheel. Ill tap the DRL LED's into my existing DRL lights. Should be a snap.

2018 STi with JDM S4 + Fog
These were installed using the Subispeed 2018 complete fog light kit. It actually came with 3 different interior switches. One of the interior switches was the perfect size to fit my stock interior switch bezel. So, although the kit came with the OE bezel in case it needed to be swapped - I was able to use my existing bezel w/o modification.
I ordered the JDM S4+fog bezel direct from japanparts. It came surprisingly fast for being on back order (13 days). I ordered the complete kit from Subispeed. It came with stock OE bezels but those are also not used in my setup. I selected the Morimoto XB LED's as the ~$150 upgrade - but after 5 weeks, I'm still waiting on those. I ended up ordering the OLM Midnights from RSD and they were overnighted to me. The DRL's are tapped using the "add-a-fuse" method. When ignition is on, the DRL LED bar is on. The Fog light wiring was ran by my installer. I was lazy. He installed the fog light wiring as well as the switch button. It was a very clean installation. https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2943.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2944.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2945.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2946.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2947.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2948.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2949.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2950.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2951.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2972.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2973.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2976.jpg https://d1nktod873oxpw.cloudfront.net/IMG_2977.jpg |

I installed the Winjet WRX / STI 2018+ off Rallysportdirect and works perfect in my 19 STI. Tapped switch power from the Accessory fuse in the car and wired the relay to the battery, lights can come on anytime. Tossed the cheap fogs and got some Diode Dynamics SS3's instead.

What does the switch look like that came with the Winjet kit? I've been looking at retrofitting my install with an interior switch but don't really want to buy the entire subbispeed kit... |

Thanks! Does it stay lit up green when the car is on but the fogs aren't on?
Subaru does make an OEM foglight switch that would go into the cutout to the left of your dimmer. |

I'll look into the OEM switch, right now the current setup doesn't bother me as it out of my line of sight. |
