Default Best Heavy Rain ST Tire?

I am returning to Autocrossing after 12 years of being away. I have a set of Yokohama A0052's for my normal Autocross tires, on my STS Impreza 2.5RS but I'm looking for something that may be faster than them in Heavy rain, on those days it's raining like a MF and that I'm not going to change the tires.

The size I'm interested in is 215/45/17.

Expected temperature range is 85-45, if that makes a difference and if it does, please state the temp where you might prefer one to another.

The car is ocacsionally street driven.

after looking over Tire Rack's test results, I have narrowed it down to these tires, in no particular order.

#1. Michelin PS4S, their best Max performance tire.
#2. Falken FK510, their best UHPS tire in the rain.
#3. Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate, their best UHPAS, in the rain.

TR does notcross compare tires in different performance categories and usually doesn't even use them on the same car.

Had a rainy cold autox at a former air force base in northern Maine with a slimy runway last year. My PS4S's were excellent and very predictable. However, those on RE71s were still ahead of me - which was surprising as I assumed the Bridgestones would be all out dry performance at the expense of wet grip.

The PS4S is king in heavy, standing water, type conditions and will beat out the rest of the tires even down to pretty cold temps assuming same driver. Another choice that's a bit cheaper is the Continental ECS. It's like 90-95% what the PS4S is but at 60-70% the price. It'll be better than #2/#3 on your list.

Were I you, I'd roll the Conti ECS (what I've been using for a while now, and I had their DW's prior) as your daily tire and then really wet weather autox tire when the Yoko's are overwhelmed.

Well I've now made 12-13 runs on the A052's and wore 3/32" off them! As It looks like they won't last me a whole season, I decided to buy more of them as my "Rain" tires, until the first set is toast. I do really like them, though I still haven't used them in the rain.

I've received several recommendations for both the PS4S and the ECS. Though I'm still considering the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate and there is a "new player" in the field, if it comes out in my size, the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. (PSAS4) That's the standard tire selected for the new Corvette and Is supposed to be able to pull 1g.
