It's like everyone at the Packers org is on vacation.

Even social media is all crickets when it comes to the green and gold.

We're going into year three of JLove and we can't even properly gauge how good he is because he's been throwing to a bunch of WR3s his entire career.

Not only that, but we won't have Watson for most if not all of the season, which is a huge loss in terms of scheming. He usually drew a double team which opened up the other guys.

I'm just baffled.

"Do you know what this is? Its the world's smallest violin playing just for the Packers fans that think they're supposed to win the Central/North every year, just because they did for like three consecutive decades."

Welcome to being the fan of a completely irrelevant team. Most of us deal with it every year.

Shrug.

Just because your team is perennially irrelevant doesn't mean I have to be ok with mine doing the same.

Rumor has it, Throw Rogan has offers from the Steelers and the Giants, but he's holding out hope the Vikes will want him before he commits to either of the other two.

Supposedly they're both getting tired of waiting on him.

Would be pretty if he burns the last two bridges he has left in thre nfl and the Vikes stick to their plan of starting JJ

I think his best career move would be to retire. He ain't winning a SB with the Steelers or Giants and I don't see the Vikes coming around.

So, what's the point?

Unless he's desperate for the money, which I doubt. I think he really is that much of an arrogant narcissist.

I was going to say "no one will GAF about what he has to say the moment he retires"

He's like poison, negative attention is still attention.

And Higgins for 4 years $115M

What is that, like 50% of the cap in 3 players?

32% for this upcoming year, according to Spotrac.

My son-in-law grew up in MN and is a Vikes fan. He said if they sign Throw to replace JJ he will disown his team. I'm quite sure the rest of his family along with 90% of the fan base feels the same.

Sounds like Rodgers needs a final injury to help him understand his career is finished. Signing with the giants will be the nail in that coffin. He won't make 50% of the season behind that line.

Judging by the lack of chatter, the Mecole Hardman (WR, 1 year deal) to the packers is kind of meh?

I think he's a pretty good kick returner, which is probably where they'll use him because Keisean Nixon said he wants to be CB full time and doesn't want to return kicks anymore.

Don't think Hardman will all of a sudden become an elite WR, but more depth in the WR room isn't a bad thing, especially since Christian Watson is probably out until November or December. Hope they draft a guy though (most likely a day 2 guy given that they never spend a first round draft pick on WRs).

He was a gadget guy with KC who rarely saw the field.

I guess GB thinks he's going to take the top off of the defense and return kicks. Par for the course with GB, we need a bonafide WR1 and Gute gets us some bargain basement piece of garbage instead. See Sammy Watkins and Davone Bess.

We're going to be in big trouble if Jacobs goes down this year because it seems the success of the offense is going to live and die with him, because they sure as **** aren't investing in the passing game when it obviously needs help.

According to reports, Rodgers people have reached out to the NFL's TV partners to see if there's any interest in his services post-playing career.

The response has been universal:

Sorry I was way off on the last thread.

Yes I went to Marshall, and if I would've perused more college football I would've played with Byron. I also played against Moss in high school (with 1 career tackle on him).

And going from unemployed NFL OC to Colorado is not a step backwards. Leftwich got the shaft by the NFL and should've been interviewed by some teams for a HC job IMO. But I love Prime and how he's building and great staff to help these young men in college be more than just football players. Leftwich is a great guy and will only add to that.
