Go Bucks, but we have a ton of work to do. An aging roster with a lot of holes to fill and a head coach known for underperforming relative to the talent that he has.

How long will JJ Reddick last in LA? At least he's already friends with Lebron, but maybe they won't be buddies for much longer depending on how things go

He used playing for Coach K and doing a podcast with LeBron as his main preparation for this job.

I'm going to give the guy a break and take the opposite side of it. I applaud them for taking a fresh face if it was actually due to his bb knowledge like they said. If it is to be Bronny's buddy then they will get what they get.

If you want to look at a profession that doesn't change often, look at coaching. The successful model is to be "old and have a bunch of experience". But is that a good model or is it entirely dependent on having a good crew of secondary coaches, good athletes under you and a bit of luck? Look at all the people that were "good" coaches that came out from under a successful coach that were horrible. Sure experienced coaches have won but look at the "new, young" guys / gals that have come in and done well. Certainly there are tradeoffs young vs. old, experienced vs. inexperienced.

Yeah but, with the amount of money on the line at the pro level, I'd probably want a guy that's been at least an assistant coach SOMEWHERE before I hand him the keys.

... but this the Lakers, they could go 0-82 under reddick and still probably be top five in revenue.

While $8M doesn't sound like a lot, considering what they over Hurley, he will still be tied for the 5th highest paid HC in the NBA next year, that's just a stupid business decision
