Can that Honda ad be blocked? I don't really care but I suppose it'd be nice.

I run a blacklist in my hosts file and it usually takes care of it but the advertisers have evolved and have gotten smarter. Or I just need to update the file.

Nope, that didn't work.

I remember the first time I read a live updated thread from someone on a road trip that was updating from the passenger seat, they said, while traveling. This being a time I still used a cat5 cable that was long enough to allow me move the 7lbs beast of a laptop where I needed it.

Woman: Do you have a bag of sand anywhere?

Man: no. What would you need sand for?

Woman: To put in a jar to stick incense into.

Man: There's sand in the yard.

Woman: But it's not clean.

I guess I get it, it's not beach sand that's been put through filters to be used in a litter box or a child's sand pit for cats to then poop in. But we have sand in the yard but better to go to the craft store to buy a bag and then have to keep track of what's unused so it doesn't spill in the house. Or dump the rest in the yard to get dirty with the rest of the dirty sand out there.

I hiked up the side of Arthur's Seat one day shortly after a rain up a slick path. Somewhat struggling between being a bit out of shape and fighting a fear of heights. I can't recall how long it took but it was a little while to get to the top. We, Mrs. Lag and I, make up there and we see little old ladies on a casual walk with their little dogs and wonder out-loud "w.t.f.". We ask a more age friendly question to one of the older ladies and they point to a wonderfully slight slope they stroll up. The walk back down was very pleasant down the gentle and not slippery slope.

Nah, if I fell of the trail and/or broke something sure. It was a more funny than anything making it to the top and seeing old ladies. There were three guys taking selfies close to an edge and legit one almost fell over. Mrs. Lag wanted a selfie pick of us and my legs were just "nope".

I backed up all of the movies I have last year on various drives and looking into consolidating into a basic mirror RAID. Maybe a solid 100'ish movies in SD, maybe 5 in BR and then the BSG series in BR. Just over 2 TB worth of data and figure with that and other stuff 4TB would give enough head room for a while.

Looking at prices of just the drives I'm thinking is it even worth the effort beyond already having the movies backed up. It's nice to have the "library" but thinking of the odds I'd ever care to watch BSG from beginning to end again just leaves me sort of with a feeling that I could get rid of 90% of it and never think about it again. And if I did the odds of whatever I wanted to watch being on a streaming service is high and if not an on-demand rental is likely and a good deciding factor of how much I really wanted to watch it.

It's weird how hard it is to let go of stupid **** you have. I now have about 5% the amount of things I had 2 years ago before I moved to Oregon, if even that. At first I was all stressed out about giving it all up, than after about 3 months, I was extremely ¯\_(***12484;)_/¯

I'm moving to a new job site in the next couple of weeks.

I keep getting training notification for **** that will be overdue at the end of the month.

There's massive delays on my current project that will push the deadline back months.

My network password is due to expire in 14 days and must be renewed.

I give 0 ****s about any of this...

People are in a panic because we were told we are moving our cubes upstairs. Who cares where you sit? And they are bringing in people to move you so you don't have to do anything.

This. They moved 20-30 people out of the trailers where we were and into a newly renovated building...you'd think the Govt was taking over their land to build a railroad.
