I inherited my brother's '96 M when he moved to New Zealand. He has since bought another '96 (not the M edition) down there. Shifting gears with your left hand make you feel like James Bond.

It would seem yore buddy has no clue.

My '95 w/ FM2 and Link was not slow, nor was it ever unreliable. 14 PSI, not low, but not high. It was enough to keep C5s in my sights.......and it still was an occasional DD.

I do miss my NA a bit (especially with the great roads here!), fortunately she found a good home. Once I get all settled (and get a jerb) I think I might get a first gen Supercharged MR2.

Fixed kit? How? I've only seen the "half up" kits they sell at Moss... and that seems like it's going to drag down my gas mileage and create drag too.

It's almost a moot point, anyway.... I only drive the Miata during the day anyway.

If its an OEM hardtop, the hardtop is easily worth $1k to someone wanting to race Spec Miata. Ive seen them go for north of that as well lately. If youre interested and want to go look, shoot me a PM and I can let you know what to look out for.

Does anyone (or can anyone) ever put the Protege valve cover on NAs or NBs? I've always preferred that square shape, but that's probably just me.

I tried to run this through the Edmunds trade-in value thing, and when I entered "pink with bubbles" for the finish it deducted $7,000.

So, it seems you owe me some money (and a Miata) pal.
