I drove a newish one on Sunday that I was considering buying at our local event as a test drive. The damn cupholder on the door panel wrecked my knee.

And it wasn't that fun to drive.

I'll stick with my big red penis extension.

I bet your balls were so comfortable in it too. I wonder how my balls would feel in a miata.

Should of done what I did...

...Lent it to my Dad on a semi-permanent basis. They needed a second car, I needed space in my garage. I drive it every now and then just for S&G.

As much fun as that car is, the Camaro is a MONSTOR comparitively.

My father-in-law has an NC, and I'd say it's pretty damn fun to drive. I know it's still a small car, but compared to my NA it feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much bigger. It has some noticable body roll to it, which sort of sucks, but other than that it's an awesome little car. The cup holders, even if they whack knees, are STILL better than what I have though. You can have a drink without blocking your access to the shifter!

Oh, and 1st gear is almost useless on the 6 speed with it's 15mph top speed I wish they would have just put a taller overdrive gear on it for the highway if they were going to do 6 gears.

My car has 205/50/16 where it's supposed to have 195/50/15. That means the rolling diameter is just a WEE bit bigger than it's supposed to be (thus creating slightly taller gearing), and it STILL turns ridiculous RPMs on the highway. I can't imagine yours with those tires shortening the gearing.

The one I drove was a 5 speed. Fully prepped for STR class. It did ride really nice on the street with the Ohlins coilovers but didn't really do anything for me on the autocross course. Needs R tires and like 100 more horsepower to be exciting.

Yeah, I've thought about getting rid of mine for something else, but I just keep getting other cars instead and upgrading the Miata to make it even more race friendly and less street friendly.

I altered the front droop travel and moved the ride height up a little bit in front and now even on the rough lot it is performing pretty well.

Good enough to take 5th overall (raw time) last time out.

Car had more in it too, but I just am not that good with it yet with this current setup. Not that good overall either.

I've had my RS for just over a year, it might be time to pull a Tony and trade it for a Mioter.

I bought my RS almost a year ago to the day and have started looking at Miatas over the past week or so. Only it would be to replace the Evo as the track car.

What year Miata is that?

I had an S2000. That's like a Miata, only a lot better, except for the parts that suck.

I didn't really like the convertible thing... So, bring on the fixed-roof Mazda!

Some NC love, and yes, that cup holder is a knee killer.

I was at an autoX 2 weeks ago and bumped into this "not so street friendly" miata....it was awesome.
