I make "ahh" sounds when I drink. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry

Being easily amused I'm still blown away with the storage capacity of micro SD cards.

Being absent minded I've had to make peace with losing 8GB worth of something I'm sure isn't anything unique :|

i'm the opposite ... i enjoy doing yard work even more with all battery-powered equipment.

zero turn mower, push mower, blower, hedge trimmer, weed whacker, chainsaw, mini chainsaw ...

no more gas, oil, spark plugs, carb cleaning, belts and pulleys, and other assorted B.S.

just got a cordless leaf vac/mulcher yesterday. is it worth $400 to not drag extension cords everywhere? for me, yes.

You have a zero turn mower, can't you just "run over the leaves" with the mower to mulch (or bag) them?

I'm in week 2 of being back in the office after 4 years of telecommuting. That's a gripe in itself, but today I left my coffee on the counter at home. That's a ****ing tragedy.

And the replacement part has failed. Less than 7500miles. It is getting replaced again. If there was an equivalent product I would strongly consider getting rid of this.

I like the landscaping stuff and stone work. I ****ing hate mowing with my little push mower. No garage so no fun rider mowers or anything. Pretty much all my tools are cordless now. I hate gas and corded tools.

People that accuse other people of having 'privilege".

Bitch, I've worked for everything I've got. I wasn't given anything.

If you spent as much time working your own ass off as you do complaining because someone has something you don't, you could be "privileged" too. Whatever the hell that means, anyway.

i do - but there are leaves under my deck, up on my deck, in the mulch beds, around my AC unit, and other areas i can't get a mower in. if you think you're gonna vac an entire yard of leaves with one of these, it would take days

vac/mulcher is good in mulch beds on low speed - will suck leaves and clippings up but not the rubber mulch.

Got it. I usually blow them out before mowing, not suck them in.

I've used French Presses for years and have somehow managed to break two of them in a month.

I can't relate to the coffee as I don't drink it but being back in the office after 4 years would suck? As it is I have to go in 1 day a week and that's enough for me. Do you still get telecommute days?

I'll be working on campus 8 days per month. I make the schedule as to what days those would be. Could be all at once or spread out. It's not so bad. I was the only one on my floor yesterday for about 5 hours.

I just pick it up right after she goes. If she goes out in the dark, I just pick it up in the morning after she does her morning business. I would hate to have a turd bomb yard.

Picking up after 1 dog is easy. Picking up after 3 is not. Even then it's all fun and games till the snow comes. Then you end up with months of frozen turds defrosting all at once.

Kind of similar to how my company is doing it. They said everyone has to work 40% of the pay period in office. Doesn't matter which days as long as it equals 40%. However, without really announcing it they added a policy that anyone who's been with the company for 15 years or more can ask to have it moved to 20%.

People that still do not understand the context of being considered 'privileged'.

I'd probably be considered "privileged", but I've also gone through quite a bit of trauma and nobody in their right mind would want to be me

It's very much a "godwin's law" like cop-out.

Falling back on or using "check your privilege" as your primary crutch in discussion is not going to do anyone any good.

it would also be good if people understood and checked their privilege.

Everyday I know I'm privileged to have had both of my parents be my parents from my first memory until this minute. Not 100% fantastic, the last years living with them I would wish on few people and would jump at the chance to be lobotomized if it meant I could not have that rolling around in my brain anymore. But it was their ****, never once had any doubt the were and will be 100% there for me. Too many people don't have that.

I have not yet seen any science that suggest having both parents and a stable home is anything other than positive even if they are going through *their *****.

Gripe and Joy

I need to get my remaining wisdom teeth removed. I had 1 removed in my youth. I have 5 left to come out.

Joy: thanks to double insurance coverage it will only cost $52.

As someone who grew up as an only child in a single parent home, I wouldn't wish that on any kid. It was ****ing horrible. Yes I know there were kids with it far worse than me But when you're a latchkey kid and home for several hours a day by yourself with only a cat to keep you company from the age of 5 to the age of 11, it ****s you up. Bad.
