That’s one hell of a screw up. Reminds me when Lexus had the stuck accelerator peddle.

IIRC, most "stuck Audi pedals" were wide feet catching the gas pedal in the narrow pedal area. It was shown many times that foot firmly on the brake, the car wouldn't move when gas was floored, but semi missing the brake and hitting the gad would allow movement.

As to "drive by wire" accelerator, I believe all manufacturers have had claims against them.
In the US, you can check out NHTSA.gov for info and searches. Also good before buying a car, check out SB's and recalls.

Apparently body panels are falling off cybertrucks because they're just glued on. Exoskeleton my ass.

What's wild to me is that they thought no one would figure it out.

My Outback allows very limited left-foot braking under throttle. If you brake too hard at a given rpm and speed, it lifts.

Hemi bros were never going to buy it. It's a product designed for someone who doesn't exist.

The cybertruck thing is even more hilarious. I watched a video of a guy who was showing all the places the glue was failing. It's not just trim. The rear quarter panels are at least partially glued on too. Up where that trim piece came off the part of the quarter panel that meets it was peeling up too. The whole front of the thing is just glued too and some of those have come off as well. The thing is basically an electric ridgeline with stainless steel panels glued to it. I can only imagine how tortured the development of that thing must have been. Him insisting on stainless steel and the engineers trying to explain galvanic corrosion and how quickly the thing would rust unless it was done just right and how expensive doing it right would be.

One nit: "seatbelt wayyy back on the pillar" - as his hand reached right over the bit on the seat side bolster that is used to actually hold the seat belt and make it easy.

Well... My 12V in the I5N is dead. I walked out to the car and nothing turns on. I suppose Murphy's law strikes again.

Don't worry, Hyundai is about to issue the 5th recall on the ICCU.

They will solve this problem... any day now

Saw video today where some guy slam shut his passenger rear door (apparently people are reporting this issue) and it became stuck and also had the inside door panel pop off and became snagged. He ripped it off and commented that “it looks like it’s put together like legos.” Someone commented “don’t you ever insult the quality build of legos.”

Teslur, the fisher price of automobiles.

Pickup an AGM battery at wallmart. Don't bother with the dealer they will just put in a worse one.

Btw there is a setting that you can change to use the main battery instead of the 12v for Accessory mode.

Several chuckle****s, with too much money, have shown the "slamming the door breaks ****" trick.

It kinda makes you wonder what took five ****ing years for this thing to make it into driveways? It's still barely beyond prototype build quality.

Does this one actually fix something or still just lowering power and temp limits.

They've been having issues with the ICCU

... blowing fuses
... not topping off the 12v
... failing to fast charge

since the launch of the vehicle.

Personally, my guess is that it took 5 years for his engineers to convince him that the original ketamine fueled fever dream was never going to happen.

Not wishing for Elons death but I sure as hell won't lose any sleep if he overdosed on drowns while on ketamine.
