R.I.P. #392 ugm. Make sure you guys get your car a appraisal. If they total it you don't want to go threw what I did for mine. 2 months of fighting with the insurance company. Sucks ass lol.

looking at an 07 limited
Is there any correspondence between the vin and the number in the series between 0 and 800? If I'm looking at # 413 of 800 should 413 show up in the vin?

looking at an 07 limited
Also I test drove it and it has a cobb turbo back exhaust and a cobb short ram. It also has a tune done by torque performance via internet. When I dove it the performance seemed flat, slow compared to my 06 STI which has 168 k miles. Mine has Summer extreme performance tires Re 01r I beileve. The limited had all seasons. But I'm concerned that the tires could not have made it feel so tame. Opinions please

#346 still running well but showing her 11 year old age here in Minnesota. Single owner, 124k miles with some rust in the front wheel wells and mild oil consumption. Hoping to keep it going another ~5 years.

I am certainly late to the party but I just stumbled across this thread.
I am the proud owner of #500 - SWP in Florida. Still running strong! |

I'm actually considering selling my 2007 STI Limited but it is UGM and #121. The list has it as RedRocket as that was my screen name on IWSTI which the info got pulled from but I'm the original owner. Car only has 46k original miles on it, no accidents, never tracked, no leaks, always garaged and never driven in the snow... probably the best version of this car you will find period especially with this low of miles. At around 22k miles, I did have Surgeline Cobb in Portland, OR add Walbro fuel pump, 850cc Deatschwerks injectors, Cobb Turbo back with cat, Cobb Access Port and then tuned at their shop. Car drives amazingly well and looks great.
Local transaction only, near Denver, CO, if someone is interested, PM me. I'm still not convinced of selling but would consider serious offers, price being $26K. I don't need to sell it so please don't throw absurd offers my way as those will be ignored. |

Cylinder head casting options
This may have already been answered so if anyone has a link that would be great.
I have a 2006 Impreza with an EJ253. Nothing special, all factory. I have the head gasket leak problem. I am going to replace the heads myself with refurbished heads. However, I have looked every that I can see on the heads for a casting number and can't find it. I have it boiled down to probably being a v25 or b25 cast. My question is if they are interchangeable? I can find v25 heads everywhere but b25 are more difficult to come by (at a decent price anyway). Any help is much appreciated. Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm a noob |

768/800 Ugm
I got number 768/800 back in March from a kid in VA. It’s now in NY. Car is in 9/10 condition and had the short block, turbo, and some other parts replaced. If I knew how to add a picture I would, but you can see it here:
