Default ABS light turns on and off

1998 Impreza OBS 5 speed manual
2.2
252k
Minor mods
-maxspeedingrods (or however you spell it)
-Alloy 15” Subaru rims( came with steelies)
- replaced driver side axle 240k.

ABS light comes on and off. Not flashing.
When I turn on the car ABS light is on but not all the time I turn it on.
When it’s on I’ll turn off the car and turn it back on then problem temporarily solved.
Usually when a ABS sensor is in need doesn’t it stay on?
My next step is to physically check it this coming weekend.
Besides that is there anything else I can do if I don’t find anything wrong with the sensors?

If anyone is reading this found the issue..
The issue was right front ABS sensor.
The wire had a mild cut and it was copper exposed. I cut it to re do the wires but corrosion was found all over the wire. Ordered a new one it’s on its way now.

Problem; cut wire exposed un-insulated, corrosion.
