This forum is for the discussion of any of the following:
Engine Swaps
Transmission Swaps
Interior items
Anything that would require a little work to transfer from one model to another, or even another manuf. to a Subaru.

If anyone has any suggestions of threads that should be located here that already exist in the other forums, Post the link in this thread and I will have it moved accordingly.

Any suggestions, let me know as well and I'll see what we can do.

Have fun!

There are already some threads moved to this forum, they are just a bit old.

Change your view to show threads from "the begining" to view them all.

ahh, no.

key word here being "subaru" conversions.... subaru to subaru.

If someone needs help with a specific subaru conversion, say the USDM ej20 to the RS, it's not assumed to be found in the aftermarket forum as it is still technically using factory parts....

at least that's my take.

A conversion isn't aftermarket.

OK, I'm just a bit thrown off.

For a long time, I have been wondering where a "General subaru problem" forum is. I can;t seem to get one of those but we can get one of these?

Where am I supposed to put problems like "Gas smell in interior" or "gauge cluster cover scratched, what to do?" and general questions that could apply to both the GC8 and GDA cars.

Sometimes I find I have to ask questions that don;t fit into AFI or N/A forums or any other forums.

So I ask one more time, can we please have GENERAL subaru technical/problem/non-specific forum?

Thanks

Thumbs up

Good idea for the new forum...

Lots of Subies out there, and lots of swapping to do.
Many of us have done a few (or more)., and many of us will keep doing more... The interchangeability of parts on these cars is amazing, and will keep people wanting to get the best set up they can for their ride.

This forum is a great idea! A wonderful source of info for those of us who are "conversion junkies"

Nothing beats piloting a 330 hp, 2700 lb '94 Impreza L AWD sleeper, spanking V8's.

I've been seeing enough redundancy in the posts lately that we would probably benefit from a sticky with FAQ's. I could help write it if needed.
