How would you feel about a trade for a numbers matching '94 Acura Integra GSR 4DR with Leather interior amd 5 spd? I think they made only 3,000. Only needs minor body work, motor has ARP headstuds and a Cometic HG, less than 4,000 miles old, not beaten. PM me if interested.

I do not have any pics yet, I'm not too firm on the price, make me an offer. It's got 130,000 miles or so.

I'll take some pics at lunch, after I clear the snow off it. The 22B motor is unlike any subaru has ever made. The EJ22T, that came in the legacy turbo has a closed deck similar to the jdm sti engines, unlike the EJ257 which has a semi-closed deck. It has a low pressure cast block, with piston oil squirters, and a factory oil cooler. Oh and its 8.5:1 compression I believe With about 2000 dollars, you can get this to 280 hp by using phase 1 2.5 heads, a vf-39, an 06 wrx tmic, yellow sti injectors, and a catless exhaust. If you wanna go higher, you get a fuel pump, and use octane booster, and then do some intake mods and get a bigger intercooler. The car weighs about 500 lbs less than your wrx, and thats why it was faster with only a td04, tmic, and de-catted stock exhaust, with a weld on cheepo muffler. It's definitly sleeper... |

Nice thanks for the info really interested! Ahh bump for pics
Also is the point of piston oil squirters to keep the pistons cool and lower combustion temp and the detonation tolerance gained by piston cooling allows to run additional degrees of spark advance ?so correct me if I'm wrong? |

That is correct. Because the car did not come with an intercooler stock, they had to find some way to keep the temps down. The engine was desinged to run flat out for 100000km, it did it at an average of 180km/h during the record attempt. The liberty RS-RA also went for the record, and got it. I can't remember how fast it did it.
I posted pics to the ad. It would only let me post four. |
