Yep, I figured that was coming. I, for one, appreciate you giving it a try. Apparently they're all pretty comfortable over there.
Rich (NON-SVX) PS- I think you guys are doing a great job running the i-Club. Don't let the idiots get you down. You do what you need to do to maintain order. |

Whatever it takes, I'd like to try and keep it. |

Let me be serious for a minute. The Yahoo board has over 100 members that always participate in numerious discussions. Here, we have about 30 SVX owners and no discussions at all. Unless I see people from Yahoo coming here in the next 10 days, I will shut it down and put all the old topics in arcives, so that people can still search for info.

Have you checked tho quality of posts over on Yahoo?
The posts here tend to be concise, and informative. The reason I stopped hanging out at the Yahoo club was the poor signal to noise ratio. I check this board often, and I for one am happy to see that the only posts we get are the serious ones. If you get rid of this board I trust you won't object if we post SVX specific questions/comments/tips in appropriate section (i.e. technical, powertrain...)? |

Imprezer,
First off let me say "welcome back"!!!! I hope your 'vacation' was a stress relieving one The bulletin board restructuring looks great!!!! As for the SVX forum going down.......Say it aint so........... I'll do whatever it takes to keep this forum going. I have to agree with CRZ MSL about how the posts here, though limited, are extremely informative. I'm personally going to make it a point to start posting as much SVX related info as I can in the effort that you see we are a worth while Subaru forum I really don't know how much longer the Yahoo! board will be tolerable. The access rate is getting so bad. Click on a thread and it takes a good long delay before the post comes up on the screen. Yahoo is getting to big for it's own pants!!!! Maybe with this more SVXers will come over here. I hope!!!!! Anyway I'm gonna go post on how to get rid of our 'hazy' headlights dilema. B.C. P.S. Even if the SVX forum gets axed I really appreciate you giving it a try!!!!! I've enjoyed getting to know a lot of the other Subaru(Imprezas,Legacys, etc) owners while here |

I agree completely. I find it difficult to keep up with the barrage of posts on Yahoo! and at times get tired of weeding through to find some useful information. But Yahoo! is still my first stop. I like this setup just wish others felt the same. Pski |

After a bit of thought I must say:
If posting messages just for the sake of having a place to post them is the only way to keep the SVX forum around, then perhaps it should be let go after all. No offense intended to them, but the Yahoo baord seems to be about posting, even if you have nothing to say. The Impreza-RS.com SVX forum is (mostly) about posting only when you have something to say. As fun as the "an SVX/a SVX" debates were, I would not expect to see anything like that over here. Well, we would see them, but in the Off Topic/General forum. |

This setup is way better than Yahoo. I don't see how anyone bright enough to drive an SVX could be dim enough to think the Yahoo setup is better than this.
But even though there has been a flurry of posts, as much as I would hate to see it go, if the only way to keep the SVX board is to post purely for the sake of posting, then we already have Yahoo. I wonder what the load of an empty board is; either the messages get posted here, or they are posted somewhere else. Imprezident? |

Guys, it is looking much better. I will keep the forum, but here is what I need you to do.
1. Make a SVX Chapter of i Club website 2. Make SVX FAQ 3. Promote and recruit other SVXers. Can you do it? |

I have some information, and am willing to volunteer some too.
1) We could host it @ AZscooby, but that seems a little too regional. I don't really have a good idea, though I would be willing to work on it. 2) There is a SVX faq located @ http://www.subarusvx.com/faq.html. 3) Will be a work in progress. What do you think? |

Okay maybe it's because it is almost 1am or maybe I'm a big sped but what are we talkin' about when we are discussing "Make a SVX Chapter of i Club website"? Will someone please fill me in ?
As for "Make SVX FAQ".... I would be more than happy to contribute as much info as I can As for "Promote and recruit other SVXers".....That one can be a lil' tough but I'm game. I have Yahoo! SVX Club flyers at my Subaru dealership. I'm sure they won't mind if I put up flyers for here. I can do a whole bunch of individual ones(seperate ones for each type of Subie) or one all encompassing one. Thoughts???? B.C. P.S. Imprezer, You asked "Can you do it?". My answer: "Gonna do my best" edit = spelling boo boo [This message has been edited by Never2phat (edited November 22, 2000).] |

I don't think many people on the Yahoo site are even aware of this site.
At the moment, they have the critical mass of numbers to keep it active. The ONLY problem with Yahoo is keeping up with the posts. If you're gone for a few days, it's hopeless. Maybe some periodic reminders would help. This would, at the very least, be a better forum for technical issues, due to it's searchability. |

Would an SVX chapter be like the Legcay chapter?
Wait, there isn't a Legacy chapter... |

we need to come up with a few things, as noted by Imprezer.
We need to come up with a web site for starters. I can host the site, much like I do for the Arizona Regional Impreza Group, located over at AZscooby.com. We just need to come up with a domain name. I'll register it once we agree upon one. I will also ask Imprezer for moderator status in this forum, as we currently don't have one. Anyone have a domain name suggestion that you checked on to see if it's not registered yet? |

So what would go on this site? There are several SVX sites already. We could just point to one of them.
SVX.com is still up and running. |

your are absolutely correct there, we could use SVX.com, SubaruSVX.com and so on....
That's up to us to decide, though I think we should ask Imprezer what he wanted? |
