Default 2012 Impreza Engine Surging, P2097

Hello,

I've been doing a lot of research on this and not 100% sure where to go from here...

I've been receiving a P2097 code for downstream O2. I've made the following changes since receiving this code:

1. Replaced both up and downstream O2 sensors

2. Replaced air filter

3. Replaced spark plugs

4. Replaced MAF sensor

5. Replaced MAP sensor

6. Replaced ICV valve

7. Ran cataclean through fuel system

8. Cleaned throttle body

9. Performed idle reset

Even after making all these replacements, the code is still present and the engine surges/pulses. Any suggestions on what to try next? Faulty catalytic converter? Exhaust leak somewhere? Someone on another forum even mentioned the knock sensor?

If needed, I can post ODB readings.

Thanks!

Vacuum leak? Water in gas?

Mine had some issues dropping idle low when coming to a stop after a few tanks of fresh gas it went away and never returned.

Some of those problems can be so tricky to pinpoint. Might be worth having a shop look into it.

I posted in another forum and was provided the diagnostics document needed to troubleshoot. Will report back.
