More speed cameras are being turned on around the valley Friday. The cameras are going up in the west valley along the I-10. Others will be placed along the Loop 101 near the University of Phoenix stadium and the northern stretch of the 101

Location Database Updates and Detector Software Updates for the PASSPORT 9500ix require a Windows based computer. (Operating on Windows XP or Vista only)

Important: Detector must be powered (if not using a laptop, requires a Radar Detector 12 Volt Adapter - not included with detector) and connected to your PC (requires an USB A to Mini USB cable - not included with detector) before you can install location database updates and detector software updates.

Drive slow or you'll pay for it. DPS has rolled out mobile cameras throughout the state, and they're now starting to put up stationary cameras too.

The first nine wil be up and running by October 22nd (they're starred below). The other locations will follow.

When finished, there will be a total of 60 stationary cameras and 40 mobile ones throughout Arizona. If you get a ticket for going 10 miles over the
speed limit, you'll pay $181.

Yeah... I was coming back from Glendale last Friday and I swear I saw a flash right by the McDowell exit Southbound on the 101. I was doing like 70 and a bike was passing me in the left lane, so it wasn't me... still, it looks like at least that one was turned on last Friday

Unhappy

Just put up like 4 more speed cameras this week... only remembered 3

On the I10 Westbound, Just west of the 51ramp/Loop202/I-10 interchange.
the camera is on the carpool lane side.

another one on the I-10 Westbound just west of the 7th ave exit...

one more I10 westbound right after the 31st ave overpass...

so how do these cameras work in heavy traffic? Are they able to pick out a single car in 5 lanes?

I think they have a point of impact zone when the picture is take. for which ever lane that Kai was speeding.

For those who think you wont get mailed a ticket because three of were speeding at the same time. think again.
