So the progress on the car has greatly slowed as my schedule has become busier, but since the last post I have started to weld the trans tunnel into the car as well as the pedal box portion of the firewall. Now the work is less noticeable, small details that add up into a drivable car that doesn't fall apart going down the road. I will try to get more active on nasioc as well as working on the car, I don't want something with potential sitting , unfinished, forever.

What do you plan on doing with the old H6. Is there modding potential for it at all? Currently scoping out an SVX myself and I'm curious what people have done with that motor as far as power upgrades. Currently I'm considering just flex fuel to start with, but I am not sure whether it responds better to turbo or super charger better.

Flex fuel on a naturally aspirated motor will probably not increase the power as much as you'd like as well as you would need an aftermarket ecu to deal with tuning changes. The H6 supposedly can take 5-10lbs of boost before blowing to pieces. That little amount of boost is good for about 400hp I think. If I were you, id look to put a manual behind it, remove all the emissions equipment and related parts(ex: tgv on an ej) and you'd have a sweet running na h6. Otherwise its a new ecu for any major changes like fuel or forced induction.

I know its been too long, but more important things took my time away from the build and posting. I have made some progress. lots of custom work to get the wrx/sti parts to play nice with the svx.
I decided to replace the strut mounts to allow any wrx or sti coils to bolt right up. https://imgur.com/p9jkdnk.jpg For clearance of the uppipe, I decided to use the wrx front subframe. https://imgur.com/et9eUaU.jpg |

Since the last post, a lot has happened. Long story short the car is running and driving; running around 400hp. It doesn't have power steering, but is light enough that its not bothersome.
I made custom LCA mounts for easy caster adjustment. https://imgur.com/AGitzLA.jpg Bolted in the coilovers. Cut the bumper bar for the intercooler. https://imgur.com/8F4TIx2.jpg https://imgur.com/fQxkg7F.jpg https://imgur.com/8eMDqiR.jpg Dropped the engine and transmission into the car. https://imgur.com/NncyAG5.jpg[/img] Made a transmission crossmember. had a custom driveshaft made. made a wrx exhaust fit an SVX. finished all the rear end suspension ( last thing was swaybar mounts). https://imgur.com/I0y5FQV.jpg[/img] Installed the majority of the wrx and svx interior. WRX dash, carpet, seats SVX headliner, trim peices, and door cards https://imgur.com/0EaMdEc.jpg Wired in the power mirrors, sound system, windows, taillights and headlights. https://imgur.com/okYM3e1.jpg sorry if you cant view the images, imgur is acting up and i have not been able to get it to work with linking and showing images here. advice here would be greatly appreciated. |

Haha, since the price of these things has begun to rise, I kinda wish I had just left it alone and fixed up the original car to drive nice. But, no, its not for sale, I lost my log in info for nasioc and just found it today. I dont know if I'd ever sell it considering all the work I have put into it.
