cause he ran through the lights as I was working on my 35 second flat run!

No big deal Dan, it happens. Who knows if it was going to be quick or not, I know it was NOT a 35 sec run. Some runs feels good only to be slower and vice versa. Luckily, Bud tagged a cone for me and knocked out his best time, giving me the win. He wasted me in TO's, as did Garen. NICE job by them. I did manage to get a 37.007 on my last run, at least beating my best am time.

Hey Chick I missed it as well. I had a brain fart and didn't know it was going on. Oh well guess I need to be more responsible. By the way, what do you do for a living?

Chick? Is there something you're not telling us?

I heard it was another tight course; tight enough that James felt compelled to run the whole thing in first gear a few times.

Wait a minute... you were there. Oh, now I see... the original poster was from Tuscon. I thought we were talking about the Phoenix event all this time.

Doh!

You phoenicians (is that even a word?) only think of yourselves!

Actually, it turns out a lot of people passed on the Tucson event (i assume it was a lot of phx people). We had under 100 cars total, and were done with normal runs by like 2, including almost an hour to clean up a huge oil spill from a certain red BMW. That was my work shift too. Oh my back!! =\

Chuck, you missed a VERY tight course. And when i say VERY, i mean really extremely extraordinarily possibly too tight course. It was almost painful to drive (there were a couple places that you literally had to stop if you took the wrong line), but definitely made you work for a good time. I think the Vette guys absolutely hated it, hehe.

PS: Oh, and yes phoenicians is a word, it's just a little archaic.

Glad I stayed north with the other Phoenicians (surprisingly, and fortunately for him, including Joel Schotz). Somehow the Tucson fieros knew, too.

I thought the course up here had a pretty good flow to it and allowed for some speed, though it put a hurtin' on my (new) right front tire...

Yes, I hope the next layout will have some right turns as well. My rt front is looking a little worn. Other than that, it was a good course. I am really looking forward to amp. Good flow we have had recently + more space =

I'm glad I missed Tucson I guess, sounds like a real front tire killer. Mine are almost dead already, and they are pretty new. I will have to come to phoenix one of these days. Gdog said it was a really small lot but it looked about the same size as Sierra Vista. I will see you all there one of these days. I also want to see what Gdogs new tires are all about.

Chick?

heheh

I work in telecom, down at Intuit (the tubotax guys)
Seems like it would have been a cool track to have under the belt but not a bunch of fun. Seems like the last few have not been real fun tracks.

Default next tucson event

just wait till the april event! we preran it for practice after the last event and it was fast. It ran the same time as the "slow" layout that was run during the event, but the speeds were way up there, like third gear speeds. It will be slowed down a little for april, since the newbies might hurt themselves, but it will still be fast and fun.
