OT: BAIC Member's Top 5 CARS!
Okay, the round-about journey in selling my car had me thinking a lot about what kind of automobile would replace my subie. Got me curious what the top 5 favorite cars of BAIC members are (non-Subaru of course). I'm sure there's been something like this in OT, but I avoid OT and pretty much all the other areas on this site so just humor me.
My list (in no specific order): • BMW E30 M3 Evo • Datsun 510 Coupe/Sedan • Toyota Supra TT • Datsun 2000 Roadster • Volvo P 1800 Of couse I would like to have a pimped Forester (old style), first gen Brat, justy, Impreza Wagon, and pretty much any rally car from WRC... but those don't count!

Ferrari 360 Modena (which I think is the best looking car to ever roll off of a production line EVER)
Ferrari Enza Ferrari 355 Ferrari F1 Ferrari.... if it says Ferrari I'll take it!!! The older stuff is REALLY gorgeous as well. They aren't just cars, they're works of art!!! You said nothing about practicality in your post . Joe |

New Age WRX Sti RA Spec-C (I think I got all the acronyms right No explanation necessary
Skyline R34 GT-R V-spec, the perfect street car. 1972 Datsun 510 (prefereably with a bored out napZ )... gutsy, lightweight, speedy, road, dirt or straightline, its a blast. RX7 FD (preferably with a triple rotar transplant), beauty and power in one package. Not sure for a last one... but I have always loved the 1999 Porsche 911 Turbo... I know little about it, but saw twin swirls of smoke come from behind it as it went from 45 to 90 in no time. Gorgeous vehicle, incredibly fast. jason |

not counting the current stable:
1990 toyota 4runner 2002 wrx this is the current future list in the 10 car garage: H1 HMMWV - not the crappy and wimpy ass H2... but the real thing. the civiian version though... dodge viper ACR - gotta have the fastest one from the 5 star... chevy corvette - whatever is the fastest one from the bowtie... ford mustang - whatever is the fastest thing from SVT people. Cobra R, cobra... whatever. jeep rubicon wrangler - from the factory, ready to go wheeling. now if jeep would only be as good on warranty as their designers. honorable mention: if toyota does come up with a new FJ land cruiser worth owning and taking off road, that is it. currently all offerings from toyota on their SUV/trucks is nothing but glorified station wagons. if they do decide to get back to the basics, design an FJ-40 for the 21st century, damnit!!!!! i'm not much on exotic cars from italy. never liked their designs. to me, the car to appeal from the outside. so far, they are so-so... |

Going along the lines of your list, I'd go w/ one of these:
No particular order. 1. Mazda 323GTX 2. Datsun 240Z or 260Z w/ L28, 5spd 3. 1st Gen Mazda RX7 w/ later turbo rotary 4. Mazdaspeed turbo Protege 5. Datsun 510 or 1200 I've also tinkered w/ the idea of a totally reworked turbo 280ZX, S/C'd 1st Gen Miata, VW Baja Bug, or a Porsche 914. |
