Yeah, but remember that vote will only take em off the highway... so the 101 etc will be smoother sailing.

As for local town cams... well.. we are SOL till the town decides they dont want a stand alone $$ maker... and we all know when they will do that.....

Thanks to a riced out LS 300 I discovered that the cams @ 91st ave / Bell ARE Speed on Green too!

But.. He was doing at least 75 when he blew past our train of cars.. so the cams must trip at higher speeds...

The law requires posted signs at no less than 300ft be posted indicating of photo radar. Those vans gamble you don't know this, as if you do and bring that information to court... they have to dismiss the ticket. The law also states that if you don't recognize the ticket, they have to serve you in 90days or it's dismissed. As a scare tactic, they put on the ticket that if you don't comply you could possibly lose your license, pay extra fees for having to serve you... blah blah.

What pisses me off the most, are the photo radar camera's, as most of you know, is owned by a 3rd party company! Banking in agreements with police for tickets paid. I've received 2 of these tickets, one on the famous 101 in scottsdale doing 76mph and another right near my home from those vans.

I ignored the scottsdale one, never got served. That was over 180days ago after I received it in the mail.

The van one never came, that was over 60days ago. Might have had something to do with me going back to the van, and confronting the employee working the van, calling him on the spot and calling him a hack and pathetic addition to life.

He decided to move to another location shortly after that.

depends on what your dad does but it worked for trevor having it in his mom's name but ive also heard that if the parent claims they dont know who it was then they have to pay the fine. hopefully it works out.

Uh oh, thats kinda scary. I let my parent know about it today.
Thanks Drew I hope it works out too. I really dont want to deal with another ~$200 speeding ticket, if my thinking is correct on ticket fines.

are tickets more expensive in tempe than scottsdale? cause everyone who gets ticketed in tempe has to pay around 200 and when i got one in scottsdale i paid 120

WTF.. ^^ was it a van?

ADDED this bit of info to the OP.

took from AZCENTRAL.com

Quote:
A Valley portion of the westbound Interstate 10 will now be patrolled by both patrol cars and aircraft, the Arizona Department of Public Safety announced Friday.

The stretch of highway between the "mini stack," where Interstate 10, Arizona 51 and Loop 202 connect, and the tunnel at 3rd Street, commonly called the "Deck Park Tunnel," has a high collision rate, according to DPS. The addition of aircraft patrol is expected to enforce traffic safety.

The DPS team targeted the stretch for two hours on Wednesday, resulting in 17 speeding violations.

The project is being called Operation Air Support Assisting Patrol.

A typical Operation ASAP detail would include a pilot and an unmarked patrol car working together to spot traffic violators.

Air Support Unit pilots will pilot the aircrafts.
Every morning I see motorcycle police officers just waiting to find another to pull over on the I10.
And I've been seeing more at night during the week on the 10. Think I saw the air patrol also.
