Bought some gram lights 57dr 18x9.5 38 mm for a 21 STI with stock suspension. There is so much out there, but what are good tire sizes to go with? Pros/cons to different sizes, or at least direction to go in to help build an answer. I see 255/40, 265/35, etc.

I have an 06 STi I’m getting OEM Gold BBS for but the previous owner installed the 2018+ 6 piston caliper’s. I notice that some of the post in here state that they tried it and they don’t fit attend it’s unclear because some other people have tried similar wheels and it looks like it’s able to fit just really close to the weights of the wheels.

Can anyone confirm what exactly causes them not to fit on the 2018 6 pot? If I can move the weights and rebalance the wheels for fitment I think about doing that.

This is my car with stock suspension and the same size 57DR wheels from another tire/wheel thread. Nothing negative about going with the 265s. Only concern would be if you plan to considerably lower your car. The top of the tire is flush with the fender arch. I've used them for a track day as well and they felt great. Good luck with your tire hunt!

Enkei NT03RRs 18x10 et38 clear the new 6 pots.

Shortly after these photos, I put the brakes on and they cleared.

I ended up going 255/40 to be safe. They ended up fitting like a champ. Really happy with the wheels

I found a good deal on some RPF1s in 18x9 +35 but they already have PS4S tires in 265/40 mounted. Is this going to come anywhere close to fitting my ‘18 with stock suspension/fenders/alignment?

Seems like 18x9.5 +38mm offset, 255/40 is the most common on these cars.

I've been considering on getting the black 57dr for my STI. And seeing it on your car looks really good!
