I've only been shooting for about two years now. There's an expectation that everyone at the range brings their own first aid kits?

Im guessing it depends on your range. I have one in my shooting bag because it’s easy and I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

i live in houston but grew up in dallas. I visit my parents and brother every other month or so. Been due for a dallas trip but the Rona kinda delayed that for now. I definitely want to take the cz up with me and go shooting with my brother and cousin.
your cz looks like it has the expensive mods. Those cajun parts almost add up to the cost of the gun also funny story, I bought one of those speed loaders that you slide up the rail and stack a bunch of rounds and press them down vertically into the magazine. Well when trying to do that the rounds werent going in easily maybe there is a a little play in the rails that the rounds slide down and I ended up pushing out the mag and all of the rounds fell out all over the table and floor. Felt like a noob. |

Imho, I think everyone should have these two things as the bare minimum in their range bag. I also have a 14 gauge chest decompression needle. Everything else in a typical first aid kit is unlikely to be immediately useful for a gsw, so I don't bother bringing anything else. |

I took my new M&P9 M2.0 Pro Series C.O.R.E. to the range yesterday and I'm not thrilled with the relatively vague, light 'competition' trigger. I bought it entirely for the red dot capability, and not what S&W says is their 'Performance Center tuned action with audible trigger reset'. I actually much prefer the crisper, heavier 5.5+ pound pull of my G17 gen 5.
Do any M&P gurus out there know what exactly S&W changes to the Pro Series trigger so I can basically un-do it? Which springs and/or hard parts? Thanks. |

Just get an Apex kit. I have a 4 inch Pro Series CORE and I put an apex in it before I even shot it.

But those kits are generally designed to make the triggers lighter, yes? Mine's already been 'tuned' by S&W to make it light out of the box and I dislike it.

Yes, I'm aware of that. That's what I'm looking for, which parts have changed from the base M2.0 to give the Pro Series a lighter trigger.

Looks like the Apex Duty/Carry Spring Kit for M&P should do it - thread on it here:

Interesting. That looks essentially perfect and reasonably inexpensive (if you call $20 for 25 cents worth of springs 'inexpensive').
Cool. Thanks! |

Any good recommendations for bedroom pistol safes? Kiddo is getting old enough that we need them. I like the idea of finer print and the ease of use, but also need something with a manual backup in case that fails - I know there are several out there like this

Get one with a mechanical lock. The locksmith I know makes a lot of money fixing broken electronic locks.

Wow. Who is next, H&K? Hopefully not. And to think I was about to purchase a 226 a few months back before I got indecisive.

Germany turned into a nanny state in recent years, they all but banned citizens from owning guns for sport, which sig germany made their money on, sig as far as i know dont have any major euro contracts like HK. HK doesnt care about poors so they're in the green. Seems Sig Swiss is fine, which is cool because we can still import 550s
