Default Looking for insight int a CRM/POS system for me ma

My mom desperately needs a more modern system for invoicing/inventory tracking/ and keeping tabs on customers than her paper (inventory & invoice)/ excel spreadsheet (which is used for customer database).

I started with what seemed like the first logical step, getting the excel spreadsheet with about 3000 customers into a vcard (and duplicated in ldap) setup. I figure that can import into most apps down the road.

The problem with most CRM's I've seen is they are built around companies with 100-1000 clients that are closing 10k sales rather than a bunch of $100-$20000 sales to 5k clients. The POS/inventory systems I've seen are more for companies with seemingly anonymous customers, and 5-500 products. Since my mom has a jewelry store she deals with a crazy amount of custom stuff and repairs rather than just standardized inventory.

She's debating switching to Mac from PC, but that's pretty easy to work around, so most apps will probably still be ok. I'm also debating some sort of intranet setup, which I can do a lot of, so like php/sql based or something would be cool too. Price is a major consideration for this project, so is ease of use for the end user.

Ideas?

CN: Looking for some sort of cheap CRM/POS system for my mom who deals in lots of custom products, and needs good, albeit basic CRM stuff too.

In general, you can try to create it yourself if you are an experienced programmer. This one will take a lot of time. But maybe something will work out and you can then make money from it. I recently read about how to create a crm system, found https://ddi-dev.com/blog/case/how-to...your-business/ for this. After reading, I realized that I myself would not do absolutely anything. But there are people who can do it anyway. Price is a major consideration for this project, so is ease of use for the end user.

Ideas?

I think Zoho CRM will definitely suit your mom. Read more about her and you will understand why.

Wonder how many days it will take for them to edit in the Zoho scam link.
