We all knew Buck/Aikman were drunk:

Quote:
We have had that glass of bourbon in the booth," Buck told Cowherd during a conversation about building chemistry with Aikman. "Although its not bourbon, its tequila, splash of Grand Marnier and grapefruit juice.

I went through a couple years where in the first inning of every postseason baseball game, I had the runner go get the biggest beer that the stadium sold. And I had it sitting there, and I would sip it from time to time to remind myself to relax and have fun. Im just doing a game.

Bold Prediction: Bears will not sign Mitch, he'll go to Patriots and dominate as Brady 2.0. Also, Green Bay will not win a super bowl with AR12 again.

I'm with you on the AR thing. Lots of playoffs but only got to the big dance once. I would have thought that they would have gone a few more times with him than they did. At least he can say he's no Dan.

Yeah, sucks. Really felt like he should have had more but that's the way the cookie crumbles. That said, he's coming off an MVP year so the window isn't entirely closed yet. Peyton's second literally came during his very last year when he had a noodle arm. Of course, that defense was dominant though.

Brees is another guy who it felt like he should have more. Only been to the one Super Bowl and has never won league MVP despite all the records. That said both Brees and Rodgers are still first ballot HoF even if they retire tomorrow and don't add anything else to their careers (hell, Brees is practically retired already). I think Rivers will probably get in also (at some point, at least) and he's never been to a Super Bowl ever.

I was anti this trade in the beginning due to what Philly wanted with multiple 1st round picks. Getting this for him does not seem like a terrible reach but I am curious what it does to their cap situation.

The NFL has sent a all 32 teams telling them that the 2021 cap will be no lower than $180M despite the CBA allowing them to drop it as low as $175M.

That's good news for the Chiefs and Steelers as they were both expected to have the highest cap numbers for next year.

It's still going to be a kick in the dick to every team since the 2020 was just under $200M

One could argue.... what do all of those guys (Rodgers, Brees, Manning, Rivers, etc) have that Brady doesn't? LACK of a defense for one thing (historically) but also significantly higher contracts. I am and always will be a Peyton fan but when 25% of your cap is going to one player it is hard to put a strong team with depth for a playoff run.

Brees also had the NFC South to contend with.

Three of the teams could be absolute ****, and the other undefeated in their ten non-divsional games, and they would all still end up 3-3 in division play.

It's how that group has always rolled.

If he ended up with Sean Payton in the AFC South, they would've been on a Patriotesque run the last decade.

Field Yates predicts that Sam Darnold will be the next QB traded.

... and that he'll land with the Bears since they missed out on Wentz

Dolphins CB Xavien Howard may be in some ****:

His now former agent's house, in suburban Atlanta, was shot at from a moving car back in June.

Three people have recently been arrested in connection with the crime and phone records shown that Howard was in contact with one of the suspects multiple times on the day of the shooting.

Dunwoody PD have said he is not a suspect, as he was not in Atlanta at the time, but he and his lawyer have declined to agree to questioning.
