Good thing you didn't have sex in the shower... she might have.

Introduce her to Simone Gertz. None of her **** works right either. And it's hilarious. Not to mention she is about sweet as can be irl and has had a pretty interesting and slightly horrific life. |

"You have a nail in your tire, do you want me to make an appt on Friday to get it plugged?"
"I don't care about that" (said in a VERY snotty manner) "You don't care about having a flat tire?" <silence> "Ohhhhhh-kayyyy" End of the conversation. I'm sure this won't be my problem when she calls me at 10pm in the parking garage at work because her tire is totally flat. That won't happen. This is the same woman who is a go-to person at work for doing difficult blood workups no one else will touch and has had her pay increased by about $20K (approximately a 35% increase!) over the past 2 years. And she's doing really good in her online hematology class which is not easy stuff. But somehow...flat tires are inconsequential in her mind. |

Just had a flash of memories I need to add to the "why you shouldn't get another serious partner" files.

Bah, see you bothered to ask. A true enabler would drive to her work, swap cars, take hers to a shop mid day and get it fixed, then return back to her work.
Then at dinner you can tell her what you did and get the zero appreciation you deserve! Agree with Lag. People wonder why I'm really not interested in dating... |

Of course, just to screw with the wife I replaced all her map/dome lights with pink LEDs today. She doesn't drive much, and rarely after dark, so waiting to see how long it takes before she notices. A couple of years ago I swapped her headlights to LEDs (they're projector style housings). I think it was months before "My headlights seemed weird tonight." It was not the first time she'd driven after dark. |

The interior light thing is pretty good.
However, if you do the tire repair (for example), but don't mention it, then you won't be able to properly bottle up the resentment you feel when it's not appreciated. Otherwise, the good deed just kinda gets lost to the void. |

Asking her if/when a convenient time would be seems curtious and respectful. If I just told my wife when things were going to happen then I'd be changing plans all the time.

I guess I could but I just don't feeeeeel like it. I've been finishing up the master bath renovation, troubleshooting my HVAC problems, spent a lot of time doing the oil, plugs, battery, air filter, MAF cleaning and tire rotation on her car already. I've tired of doing crap.
She agreed we can take it somewhere next Wed when she's off. |

Uhhh, yeah. I spent a lot of time doing those things on that particular day. Other days are spent doing many other things. I'm constantly fixing, building, repairing or installing things lately and I'm looking to farm out ONE thing to dudes at the auto shop. Is that OK?

Might as well ask her what she wants to eat for dinner too while you are at it. Shop around here charges $12 to plug a tire. Id rather pay that, though Ive recently bought a tire plug kit to see if I ever get to do one |
