Default EJ253 Cylinder Wall Pitting

Pulled my first engine this past week on my 09 impreza for head gaskets and valve seals, and noticed this small pit on the cylinder wall on #4. This is the first time this engine has been pulled apart and previously I have only ever heard piston slap at very cold temperatures (<15F). It does burn a fair bit of oil at 112k miles however the spark plugs had oil all over them when I pulled them so I think that valve cover gaskets and valve seals are the bulk of the oil problem. You can see the pitting on the right cylinder at the bottom in the picture, and I can barely feel it with my fingernail. Any input is appreciated!

How about a better photo with this pitting in focus. Can't tell much when I look at that photo full resolution - right now it's so fuzzy it looks more like a nick from dropping something pulling the head...

Yup I can get another picture when I get back in the shop. FYI I can barely feel it with my finger and nail. Makes me think it will just wear on the ring and burn a bit of oil. Guessing it will last another 80k? Rust will probably limit that anyway

thanks all, threw the heads back on, messed up the torque pattern and had to re do it. What a learning experience this has been!
