Ooooo.....thirty minutes of rain coverage.
I still have bloody mud all over my shoes from the hike up the mountain to see the rally cars that never came.

It was fun though

Well, they'll have trouble finding 30 mins of rallying, many cancelled stages.

Thumbs up

This'll be an interesting show as it sure was an interesting rally. I didn't even see a car on stage so it'll be nice to see what the action looked like

i was stood behind the camera when Paula was interviewed about cancelling the rally at final service, she gave a great interview about the issues they suffered, so hopefully that made the program. Thats 2 minutes for starters

Maybe they'll have a segment on there called "The slow ones" and then I'll see my car!
Hrm, then again, maybe they won't air that one...

The wife made it on the show, she was in the background behind the the STI while it was under the tent. She was on for like 2 seconds if that.

I was surprised with the rock that O'Sullivan hit... that was one of the SMALL ones on that stage!!!

So funny to see all the top drivers whining about the conditions. I mean, I whined too, but I'm not one of the top drivers.

Interesting seeing each of them playing with lights..... on that foggy stage I actually turned my foglights and driving lights off and just used high beam (Cibie clear lens classic headlights, 55/100w).

And the parting shot I had to the interviewer at the Saturday start was that all of these fancy pants modern cars need opening quarter windows to prevent fogging up!!

Unless you have a window net you can't open your window more than 1" or something, but opening quarter windows may be opened.

I don't have SpeedTV, but was at my GF's house. I thought it was cool! Way better than the little WRC coverage I've seen. The Rim stuff showed cars slip sliding around, and had some in car footage. I was entertained.

Question

OK, I have a really lame question about the coverage last night and I know from these posts that many of you were at the event so I'm asking here.

Anyone know what they used to polish the road STI that was in the background during some interviews? I know the car was new, but that was a serious shine.

... and well done to the volunteers who survived that weather. Fantastic job just being there.
