Cayuse Pass passable? rumor has it that SR123 to Packwood just opened... anyone tried it, going to try it? I plan on leaving soon and would prefer that route (assuming it's still got pavement, mostly).....

I was wondering about the route too. I was going to take I-5, hwy 7, then 12.

I had fun today (my first time at Packwood!). I was going to run AM & PM but with the drive home still ahead, I decided to call it a day. I was pretty tired by then. I hope everyone had fun in the PM classes too!

^^ They did that for the WRX (well, more like slowest comparative time of day), it's called Touring Sedan. The GT-R isn't even a sedan

Had fun at the SCCA event today, liked that they're able to broadcast the commentary over the radio, that was neat.

I gotta say, while I had fun at the SCCA event on sunday, somehow running that course in reverse yesterday was WAAAAY more exciting. Probably helped that I had a nice competition going with Allan(?) in the black WRX for 2nd in Touring Sedan (GT-R....sedan...). And congrats to him for beating me by .06-ish sec.

Also, saw that spin in the evo. Spectacular.

SCCA#4 results are posted
http://www.wwscc.org/event_results/2009/scca-04.html

congrats to Amy for almost winning NS4 and for skirting her husband! (and me... again). Also props to Tasha for winning her first NS4 trophy,

I'll post up some video on youtube later, I'll also have some footage from the super high-speed porsche club event on Saturday; that was a fun course!

Don't forget the 2-day race weekend coming up this weekend. We have Sanderson field in Shelton reserved for a 2-day autocross series. It should be realitively low-key and the weather is supposed to be excellent. In addition to individual day class trophies we'll also present an overall weekend series class trophy for each class.

event info here:
http://www.wwscc.org/evinfo/2009/wwscc1.html
http://www.wwscc.org/evinfo/2009/wwscc2.html

registration here:
http://scorekeeper.wwscc.org/register/ww2009/login

pre-register and save $5 per day. oh, and there's a one time driver's fee of $5 for all drivers at the first WWSCC event they enter, so expect to pay that as well. we're working registration, so hit us up with questions.

also, I'm uploading our last weekend's videos to youtube. check my channel here

We removed a ton of the tight stuff from Sunday to really open up the course on Monday. The largest contributor to "opening up" the course during setup was Stacy (the guy with the Viper). Go figure. It was a hoot.

Thanks. Was a goodtime out there this weekend. Other than the GTR, the rest of us were very competitive.

is your suspension stock? it's interesting watching your video, it's almost like you're driving in molasses! (that's not a dig, by any means, it takes a lot of skill being quick driving a pushy pig...) [edit]...errr, and that's not a dig on your car, just Subaru in general

Hahahahaha, no offense taken whatsoever. It is stock suspension, and I'm well aware of how inadequate it is. Plus, based on my tire wear, I really need an alignment. Makes me wonder how I was keeping up with an 07 with atleast better sways.

I'm torn between doing whats allowed in BSCC's Sedan classes (thus pushing me into STU in Chuckanut and SCCA races); or what I'd originally intended and keeping it D-Stock. Meh, not a lot of money for that right now anyway, so that's all for the off season anyway.

164,000 +/-
My autocross skills are, how should I say it, RUSTY!!!
Not sure my ego can handle being beaten by some of these Noobs
Here's how long it has been since I autocrossed...the Azenis were the "new" tire, STS and STU had just been absorbed into one class (forget which one), and the STI's were just starting to show up and run.
Hmm, does anyone here remember STS-R???

AD07's?? I figured the would be old news by now.

I should get my car back on saturday, that leaves tires and an allignment and I'll be ready to rock. I might be able to make NWR Pro #2, as well as NWR event #5. I know I will be at the National Pro. Val doesnt think she wants to run at the National Pro; she thinks it will be too hard with Nolan. I'm still working on getting her to run.

I wouldn't bother with getting AD07s because the 235 rubber is all old. The AD07s are also more expensive than the new AD08s. The AD08s look unstoppable in the wet but folks are still collecting data on their dry performance. The Toyos are too soft and squishy. The Kumho XS isn't made in the correct size for our WRXs. The Nitto NT-05 looks interesting. Our next set is going to be a shaved set of Dunlops.
