Regardless, it's still a FWD piece of crap car, adding a tranny to add power to the back wheels doesn't make it legit IMHO. And, HP doesn't make a car good. You put a ton of money sleeving and installing really good internals you can make awesome HP with any motor. Awesome job on the tune/work on the car though. Always cool to see someone pushing the limits! Last edited by irascible; 02-27-2008 at 02:50 PM. |

Al, thats awesome power on pump gas...
What are the cams that are in that??? (duration wise) They sound awesome, and obviously were a wise choice for making power...... I can hardly wait to see what it does with some High Octane gas... Subscribed.......... |

If its anything like the other evo that did 620whp, Al wont pick up much on race gas....that other guy went from 30psi (pump) to 43psi (race) and only picked up like 30whp.

Al has already hit 968whp on race gas on his old setup. I think you were thinking of the 2.3L car setup by AMS

Even if it does not pick up tons of hp, something tells me it will make power sooner, making a much wider powerband...

Your ignorance on the design of all evo's is hilarious. I never said it wasn't an AWD car. lol
Do yourself a favor, educate yourself on what "symmetrical awd" means, that wrx is, and evo is not. noob Anywho; Is there a video of this yet on the 1/4 mile? I still can't believe this is pump gas, very impressive work/tuning! Last edited by irascible; 02-27-2008 at 11:27 PM. |

irascible...work on your communcation skills..you clearly state the EVO X is a FWD piece of crap.
regardless if the wrx is "symmetrical awd" there are more methods to run AWD besides a 50/50 center diff/viscous clutch combo...try the multi clutch awd systems in skylines AND Evo's or clutch pack type in the AWD Lambos....get educated. anyways..here's a vid of Al's 9.50 run on his old setup to whet your appetite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0oBzJ5gTAs |

For starters, I CLEARLY said it was my opinion... and I quote: Quote:
BTW... the evo vs skyline vs lambo, and being a clutch pack system has no relevance to what I said, or make what I said wrong. Let this thread continue on the topic at hand. Oh yah, thanks for the video... i'll check it out. Last edited by irascible; 02-28-2008 at 01:20 PM. |

take the "noob" comment with a grain of salt, no one is mouthing off here. Again, i was simply quoting you. I agree, lets keep this thread going. and, id be glad to hear your take on design failure with the Evo offline. PM you later. Sometimes hard to interpret one's ideas on the interweb when its up to the reader to interpret tone and intention.

How much would it cost to build an engine and turbo like your evo?

I'm looking forward to youtube videos of 55psi burnouts in parking lots and runs to mcdonalds, or just some 160 traps.
Oh, and reading > fastnoypi. |
