im not a big fan of the car.i have a 2011 sti so im all for Awd and hard corners but i feel this will be a fun car for the price and a great drift/auto x car in general.all in all a brilliant car that the gear head teenager would love.

I have driven a BRZ on a race track. I'm not a teenager, or even a 20 year old. I'm driving my second modified WRX. I can tell you I want to own one, badly. When you experience how fast you can turn in this car, it's extremely hard to criticize anything about it. I felt my whole body weight press against the seat bolsters. No wonder they're so substantial.

The handling is incredible. I think people assume it's like a MX-5 (Miata). It's not. It's much firmer with less body roll, yet not a rocky ride. It didn't have enough body roll for me to notice. The brakes took a pounding and kept on, even after hours of track use. I'm telling you, it doesn't feel like it needs expensive coilovers or Brembo brakes. I can't imagine the expense it would take to make my WRX feel like that, or if it's even possible for reasonable cash.

And I'm a little clueless why people are so worried about power. For those that want it, there will be so many upgrades available. I'm sure 250hp in this car will feel like 300 in a WRX. It wouldn't take much to get the best of both worlds, handling and power.

In the words of Dennis Miller,
"But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong."

A gear head teenager will love whatever he is told is a good car.

Having driven a BRZ, I can only echo Zach9734's comments. This is a driver's car.

I have yet to meet a teenager that has earned the title 'driver'

I am sure that they exist ... Senna could outdrive me when he was 13, I'm sure, and that is true of most pro drivers.

I want to drive a BRZ! If I would get one, I'd keep it just like that. It's perfection. If we tweak it without great knowledge, probably mess up the balance.

Why is everyone obsessed with power.

I would think teenagers would not be interested in this due to lack of power. And I hope its true because I don't want everyone driving around in BRZ/FRS all "accessorized" out

Teenage girls aren't concerned about the hp. Just waiting for the hello kitty edition.
