That video did nothing for me. It's hard to make a car look boring doing what normally is fun.

I ditched my 2008 WRX sedan for a 2005 STI.

When We saw it understeering on the dirt and not finding traction, I died a little on the inside.

the 08 handles so, so much better than my 06. the 06 was easier to tune, and did not blow up like my 08 did, but overall the 08 sti is much nicer overall.

I still like the rear end on all the GD bodies. It's just so sexy. Everything after looks so damn... toyota'ish.

you guys mean Andreas Zapatinas? He joined Subaru in 2002 but he left in 2006. so over 4 years ago. I am guessing his designs are not affecting today's Subarus any more(2010-11 etc..).

By the way he worked for Alfa Romeo an Italian firm but he was not Italian he was from Greece.

Either way his influence is probably long gone from Subaru designs.

The new 2011 sedan looks nice except for the usual ironing board rear wing. I did not like it on my 2005 and still do not really do anything for me on the 2011. But then I prefer understated cars vs. loud flashy designs.

Subaru is trying to attract a certain market segment and they are doing a decent job since they are doing decently well comparatively to other automobile manufacturers.

Cheers

Nick

Agreed, 04-05 is the best newer style, but pre bug-eye(yuck!) are still the best...even with how much I like the 2011.

Sweet jeebus the sedan is uuuggglllyyy

It looks like they slapped one of those wings you get from Autozone onto a Ford Focus.

Good thing they kept the hatchback

The hatch is ugly as balls, still.

The sedan is alittle better, but still too large.

They would need to make major upgrades to the engine before I'd even THINK about trading in my 06' for one.
