I would say that it is likely they will be.

So you got -1.5 camber out of an '06 on the stock camber bolts and had almost 6 degrees of caster from the factory? The '06 service manual states 4.83 deg of caster and -1.25 deg camber max (and in practice most people can't seem to get over -1.0 with the stock bolts). You must have gotten the "special" car...

I'm not changing anything. How many of us that track these cars for fun actually stay stock, at least with regards to the simple things like swaybars, tires, and upgraded bushings? Either way, that doesn't change the fact that, even in stock form, an '08 is a match for an '06. (see below why I feel that way)

I guess we'll just have to disagree then. You don't own an '08 and likely haven't driven one for any length of time. I've had enough experience in my '05, both in stock and modded form, to know the '06 wasn't anything noticeably better out of the box on a track.

I look at it this way. Out of the box, this softly sprung, rolly-polly, Mazdaru of a car built for old-men, with big heavy 18s and apparently big-rig steering and taller gearing, is turning in similar or better numbers than the supposed holy-grail of STIs - the '06. So even with all these handicaps, the '08 is still equivalent or better than the previous model. That's got to sting.

Just talk to other people here that have owned and autoxed/tracked '04-'06s and now own '08s. They seem to rave about the new car's performance and most seem to feel the new car is a better performer than the old one.

As I said, I really should have known better considering neither of us are going to convince each other either way.
