Default Left front wheel squeaking when turning and coasting

I have a 2017 wrx with a brembo swap for the track

Sounds kind of like the dust shield is scraping the caliper or a pad is scraping the caliper (I had the wheel and rotor off last week and no wear on the shield). It’s like an “Eeh eeh” squeal at the top of every wheel rotation when costing or in bumper to bumper traffic.

Like I said, I tried investigating a few weeks ago and found that two of my studs were messed up and wouldn’t thread any lugs. I replaced two lugs in the hub and thought everything was fine. I didn’t really look at the pads but the rotor seemed fine. No rust or noticeable uneven wear.

But, the sound is back. The car has 37k on it so I don’t think it’s the wheel bearing.

I read a thread that re-lubing your brake pins helps. I hope it’s really that easy. Has anyone else experienced a sound like this?

Check the inside of the wheel. It's not uncommon for a big caliper to very slightly, sometimes contact a moving wheel. Grinding a part of the caliper away might be your solution.

is it when you tap the brakes? if so you may need to grease your pads. brembos are notorious for that especially using metallic/semi metallic pads

No it’s more when the car is rolling at slow speeds. The sound disappears when I tap or step on the brake. The pads were greased but could need to be greased again along with the pins.

I am running shimless, there was a plate on the back of the hawk pads I put in. The back plating seemed redundant

Sounds like a brake issue. You may need to pull the rotors and check the runout/ have them turned.
