I ended up ordering another cruise stalk from Subaru, and it has all the wires listed in the OP. Looks identical to the one I have, but it has the black and green wire unlike my other stalk.

Bumping this. My sti stalk has:

black, yellow with black stripe, red, green with black stripe and white with red stripe.

my clock spring has black with white stripe, green with red stripe, white and black.

I have no idea what to connect to what.

How does this even work? The original dash cc button needs both the green-blue and green-black wires to contact before the cc enables/disables. It's even in the schematic.

Lightbulb super old thread but

Hi guys,

i recently done this mod to my 2004 wrx
i fitted a 2007 steering wheel (i think 2007)

anyway i had trouble with all the threads when people did this.
(mainly due to how the CC works in 2004 model )

so i ended up designing my own PCB to replace the OEM one, and well it works great, just waiting to get off the nasioc probation before i can make my own thread and include my "howto" guide for it.

I know this is an old post, but can someone chime in and let me know what you do for the horn? It looks like in this install the wire that used to be fed with a negative for the horn is being used to feed 12v power?

Any help would be appreciated.

Well,

I did this mod today and was working awesome until i used my brake to drop off my cruise control. Then it stopped working. Now can't find a fuse or anything blown. Horn doesn't work anymore, but fuse for horn is still good. Anyone have this happen to them?

Did you find a way to get the horn to work? I’m stumped by this as well

Default Horn

For anyone wondering why the horn doesn’t work, I realized that there is a little male connector on the bottom back of the airbag area. The extra green wire with the female connector from the 07 CC should plug into it.
