Default GS intercooler

Anyone here ever installed the Grimmspeed intercooler for 18+ sti? The intercooler resembles torque solutions intercooler more than what GS sells now. But how in the world did everyone here reinstall/install the intercooler? I've been having clearance issues and trouble putting it in.

My friend had the same issues. I'll shoot him a message and see if he will respond

Greetings,
18+, not specifically, but have done others. Still applies here. One thing I would recommend. Put a cut piece of cardboard held with blue tape on the top and bottom while you are wrangling it in. The ribs don't quite provide enough protection, and if you are not paying close attention, you can rock back and forth on something. The last thing you want to do is smash the fins on your new IC. You might need a few washers for the drivers side mount to keep it from contacting the lid of the clutch reservoir. Its tight, having another set of hands doesn't hurt. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips guy! I decided to go back to the stock intercooler, though I did try the steps with thr tips given with the intercooler I was going to put on, but I have the older GS intercooler, and the measurements are, for some odd reasons off. I was able to shove the couplers on properly, but the mounting points were not lining up properly. I will try again, but next time, I will be using a custom mount and extended couplers for the intercoolers y-pipe.

Thank you again for the help, much appreciated.
