Default Wideband 02 sensor install

I talked with my tuner recently and hes told me i can wire the wideband in place of the rear o2.

im just trying to figure out what wires i need to connect to one another.
especially since the wideband i have comes with five wires and the stock o2 only has four.
im guessing all the wires arent needed in some applications?

"https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/engine-management-sensors/prs-bosch-17014-prosport-bosch-wideband-lsu-4-2-5-wire-o2-sensor?trk_msg=DE6TSR77HV54T7IH58DL9KCMFS&trk_cont act=SS3KACM2QFN2760AI83D3HV440&trk_module=tra&trk_ sid=ROUB8JN411ML9PD36HSJRO1OGK#reviews"

wire colors on wideband.
red
yellow
grey
white
black

its a 2007 STI

i do have two bungs but i need to be able to datalog from the wideband, cant use tgv's because they will be taken.

any help is appreciated, just need to figure out the wiring scheme.

Thats just a sensor. You need the entire wideband...controller & sensor.

You can then wire the output data wire from the wideband to your AP. Here's the thread for an 08+ https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2805570

FYI: That link applies to the AEM UEGO Wideband though.

so with that it seems hes tapping into his rear o2 anyways, i understand the need for a controller for a normal gauge but from what ive read so far, the rear 02 is 0-5v as needed for the wideband and can support it, so is the controller still needed? the biggest thing here is the plug i have is not compatible with the stock o2 sensor plug to the ecu. i found this

apparently if you run this controller wire it normal and run the signal wire from the wideband to the rear o2 signal wire you can read your wideband from your AP using your rear o2 monitor.

hopefully this solves the issue, i dont want to run a gauge and want datalogging to be easy as possible.
