Default Back in a Subaru! Well, kinda

After selling my wrx a few years ago, im glad to say I'm back in a subaru! Well, my wife's Subaru that is. A 1999 Legacy Outback!

Background:

My wife and I have a 2 1/2 year old, another on the way (due in July), a dog and only a 2011 Honda civic si. We needed something a little bigger and for my wife to daily. We were on the hunt to buy a wagon for the past few months when one day, out of the blue, my brother showed up with this little outback! He worked out a deal with a guy he's working for and got this for free! Long story short, he gave it to us as a gift for the new baby. We could not be more thankful! This thing has 167k, the headmaster was done 2k ago and only needed brake work.

The plan:

Make this the ultimate daily/camping/trip car. So let's begin!

Took care of the brakes right away. Front caliper was seizing so we replaced both front calipers and rotors. Replaced the fluid and now this stops on a dime!

While we had it in the garage I pulled the lights and gave them a wet sand

Also added 6k Led headlight and 3k fogs!

Get an EJ257 and a 6MT and jam it all in there, man.

I wish I had kept my 1998 Legacy GT and swapped it, instead of buying my 2002 WRX. D:

That would be on the long term goal list lol unfortunately its an automatic so it's going to be a pain in the ass to swap to manual

Fog lights? Are they going to be different colors side-to-side, or are you going to swap them around?

Reviews made them sound more like a spot light but yea just some extra auxiliary lighting. I'm kind of torn between a few different options on placement right now though, I think since they are more of a spot light, the most functional place would be all 4 across the grill. But I think all of them in the lower grill looks more cool lol any thoughts?

Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

Decided to go a different route and put them behind the grill, made a quick bracket using some old L angle

Looked good when I came out of the house so I had to snag a picture.

We just picked up a new truck so now I'm not sure what to do with this thing. Been wanting to get into stage rally so maybe I'll rally cross it and slowly build it into a stage car.
