Unfortunately, no, well not from the "gaming" companies. There are a very few actual mechanical ergo keyboards though, and some folks really like them. The list you found has a few.

I've never tried, I just don't use the same keyboard for gaming and work basically.

All great feedback! Thanks guys.

My Dell XPS has been having issues for months and I was waiting to get my desktop before sending off my XPS for warranty repair. Since I have limited real estate on my computer desk where the 13" XPS and 25" AW monitor fit perfectly, I'm now looking into portable monitors.

I had never heard of such a thing until I kept searching for secondary monitors that weren't 27". I think a portable monitor could work out nicely for me since it'll have an HDMI input, along with USB type-C. I think I've settled on a UPERFECT MDS-156F13 15.6" 4K touchscreen portable monitor.

In the next month or two I'll be back in the market for a new gaming rig. My current (i5 7600, GTX 1080, 16GB ram) is serviceable for older stuff but it's time to pass it down to my 10 year old. Because I'm old and lazy now this will be the first time I'm just going to throw down for a prebuilt but I'm not really sure if there any particular builders I should be looking at? From my initial searches it seems what I'm looking for (i9, RTX 3070, 16GB, 500GB SSD) is going to come in around $2k regardless but I'm totally out of the loop on which companies/builders use respectable components and which are trash...or whether there's no appreciable difference.

Good luck getting those parts! The intel parts are probably going to be easier to nab than the AMD parts.

I was going to get a higher end version of this prebuilt, but did a custom build. This one is similar to what you are looking for.

Okay, I really am going to do another build this year. If I know I'm going with a Ryzen, is it better to get one of the new Radeon cards due to the idea that, presumably, the AMD bits will play nice together (Smart Access Memory, etc) or is NVidia still the way to go, assuming I can ever find either thing?

If you care about RTX and all the glorious eye candy it brings, I would go with Nvidia. To me, it's worth it knowing more RTX games are likely to come.

From what I saw, Nvidia will/has caught up to AMD's resizeable BAR (aka SAM) so that difference is negligible.

If ray tracing or DLSS is important, then Nvidia is way ahead but if it's not important then AMD still has a solid offering with the new 6000 series.

Obligatory:. Good luck even finding a current gen graphics card to buy and when you do prepare thy wallet.

this is a while off, still, as I have other more pressing financial priorities. Maybe Cyber Monday. But my i5 3570k and 560Ti are finally showing their age.

Prebuilts seem to come in and out of stock and aren't "as" in demand as GPUs. In January, I asked Corsair for an alert on the prebuilt I linked and just got an "in stock" alert this week.

That one looks like a solid option. I've used Corsair a lot for own builds so it's nice to use a name that's well respected. Outside of Alienware I'm not really familiar with any of the other current builders in the gaming space.

The Corsair prebuilds are definitely way pricey but not a bad option if you don't want to deal with getting a GPU on your own. You're also paying for a well-reputed brand with pretty good customer service.

The older prebuilt companies i.e. CyperPower, ibuypower, etc. are gonna be a lot cheaper and in some cases are just about the same price or barely more than the price of building your own rig if you can find them on sale and are quick about it. For example, a recent CyberPower prebuild had a Ryzen 3600, RTX 3070, 16 GB of RAM for $1100 after coupon. Considering a 3070 alone will cost you probably $700 minimum assuming you can even find it in stock, $1100 for all that isn't terrible.

Man, what a world we live in that prebuilds are viable options now and the DIY builder gets the short end of the stick back in the day the consensus was to never buy prebuilds as they're insanely overpriced.

Mine started life as an iBuyPower prebuilt and has lasted me fine for almost 3 years. It came with an i7-7700k, GTX 1080, MSI z270 MOBO, 850W PSU, NZXT case and AIO CPU cooler, and some generic 32GB of RAM for $1800. It now has some Corsair fans/850W modular PSU and MSI Ventus 3070 in it. Runs Warzone pretty well for me, but didn't exactly have a problem with it before either.

My buddy just got a PowerSpec (MicroCenter) and it's not bad. What gets under my skin is that the case (Lian Li) comes from the manufacturer with 2 case fans (one in the front and one in the rear) but PowerSpec puts both in the front!

So I had a few extra case fans (someone gave me a few RGB ones - blah I don't RGB) so I gave one to my buddy for the rear exhaust.

He said the CPU temps went down 10-15C and I confirmed that with him.

Of course he's running the stock Intel cooler but still! Crazy they went down that much.

+1. With a Corsair prebuilt, you are getting a solid deal. The other low-end prebuilt companies don't always let you choose the best brand name components going into a build.

That’s how you get a WD Green SSD and no name PSU.

Anybody want an EVGA 3090 Hybrid? My position in queue has come up for 24G-P5-3988-KR.

i'd love to take that one but it's about $900 more than ive got in my gpu budget.

when did you sign up for that? you wouldn't have happened to have sign up for a 3898-KR 3080 ftw3 hybrid before January 9th?

I signed up with EVGA for a 3080 on November 7th, still waiting. I need to get a 3080 while I can still sell my 2080 Super and offset most of the cost.

You're going to be waiting for a bit...
depending on what model you ordered the most recently shipped 3080 had a confirmation email of September 20th.

EVGA isn't very far along in its queue. the hybrid models are "further along" just due to the fact that they weren't available for order till December.
