Yep. My brother said LA County requires players in a group be from the same household. I'm off on Thursday, so we managed to get a 10am tee time in San Clemente which works since it's almost halfway between us. I am sure a lot of LA players will be coming to SD county.

My brother just texted me they cancelled the rule in LA that everyone needs to be from the same household.

The last few months have been a struggle, weather notwithstanding. Hadn't broke 85 since early November with 6-7 rounds in a row at 89/90.

Last weekend I went to the range and hit balls with a clubhead cover just outside the ball to work on coming more inside. MUCH better. Next day I hit the ball well and shot 83 in cold and wind. And today shot 82 on another windy day. Pretty pleased. Unfortunately it looks like the cold and weather is going to make playing impossible the next 10 days or so.

I haven't picked up my clubs since late December. Looking forward to longer days and being able to get in 18 on the executive after work. My lady has been pretty paranoid about the Covid surge. Since I was shanking, the weather was bad/raining/high wind on the weekends, I figure take a break for now. She has pretty much said I have the OK to play whenever I want once it warms up and Covid cases drop, so I got that going for me, which is nice. Hoping to re-do my swing and forget how to shank but I'll really just be happy to get back to bogey golf.

My local 6-hole Par 3 course offered up a yearly unlimited play membership for $375. I was paying $200/qtr the previous couple years, so not sure why they offered up such a cheap yearly rate.

I've played 61 rounds so far since Jan 1st

I can easily get a quick round in during lunch, and on weekend mornings can make two or three rounds before it gets busy.

Anyone ever traded clubs in to Dicks (or similar big box store)? Do they go strictly on the PGA valuation guide? And ever taken advantage of the "bonus" percentage they offer? I think they offer 20-25% extra on trades in the March April timeframe.

In my experience, they go straight off the valuation guide. I think the guide gives you a range or a couple of numbers (good, average, bad... similar to Kelly Bluebook) and the big box stores typically give you average. Its been a while since I've traded in at a big box store. I have a nice local shop near my house which tries to do a little more to take care of me. They typically use the value guide (they always give me the highest value) and then will throw a little more on top or will give me a 10% off coupon on the club I'm buying.

Yeah. If there's a % bump promo going on you can usually do it through your local course. That's what I did. Help the local club.

They're more inclined to give you a better number if you're going to purchase something from them at the same time. That's been my experience.

My club gets plenty of my $$ already and they don't take Dick's gift cards unfortunately.

I'm playing an executive course tomorrow and then a full 18 on Sunday. Looks like I am back on that horse.

This is true. Among the other things you deal with to get that amazing weather.

Speaking of SoCal is anyone else watching the Genesis at the Riv? I love that course. So different than the bomb and gouge courses.

I'm watching. Wish Faldo would **** though.

Riviera is awesome. I am hoping Burns doesn't run away with it.

What an AWESOME tournament that was to watch. Max played great (except for the putt on the 72nd hole )

My brother texted me right at the start of playoff asking how Finau was gonna not win again

After over a foot of snow the past couple of weeks, we're finally getting a run of temps in the mid 40s. Gonna be muddy golf season soon.

Yeah, it really should have been over on the 72nd. I am kind of bummed Finau didn't win (AGAIN), and not sure how he missed that par save on the final hole by so much considering he had the read from Homa. That recovery shot Homa made on the first playoff hole!

I went to Dicks twice over the weekend testing clubs. Damn my swing speed is SLOW. I have no idea how I hit is as far as I do TBH. Despite scoring pretty well, I need help launching and getting more distance, so feel like I am still firmly in the GI category, but not a bunch of offset. So my choices are little limited. I really liked the Cobra Speedzone Irons and the Callaway Mavriks.

I think I am going to schedule an iron fitting at Club Champion soon and get a real evaluation. It's $150 and apparently sort of a crap shoot on whether they will apply that to your purchase or not. Anyone used them??

I played the exec Friday and par 70 course yesterday. It was super windy yesterday, which mostly helped my drives. I only parred a few holes, but since I was playing with my brothers, it was all about having fun and joking around. It was 5 hours and we didn't finish the 18th. Looking forward to getting back to the range this month and start booking more tee times.

Tiger Woods was involved in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday near Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Woods was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries after he was extricated from the vehicle using the "jaws of life."

The 45-year-old is in the Los Angeles area after hosting his annual Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club this past weekend.
