Hoax, we all know those maps are old, the virus went away after Biden won PA electoral votes, because all those people were actors. They can start removing the ICU 'patients' on ventilators, the actors laying still in the morgue, and for God's sake please unbury those actors in the graveyards, those people earned their pay! Talk about dedication to their acting careers and their contracts to the Democratic party and this ruse. True American Spirit.

Greetings from SEWI. Ugh. Don't know what to say, other than a lot of people are kinda dumb. My wife included, unfortunately.
Me = 51 y/o, a couple underlying health issues put me in a high risk group, working from home (mostly, and have thanked my lucky stars every day that I am working and getting paid) for a non-profit that currently has a 'completely out of money' date of May, 2021, and am a licensed EMT. I tend to zero in on the county in which I live as far as monitoring the COVID-19 situation, since our organization serves members that reside in our county. I think our Dept. of Public Health has a nice website that is updated daily: https://waukeshacounty.maps.arcgis.c...ea692f69f9d5c1 Bad: Worry, fear, isolation, mental health issues, spending money on music gear, work is stressful and time consuming, lack of 'me' time. Good: Not putting many miles on the car, playing more guitar than ever (mostly because I need to for parts of work) and starting to see improvement in my ability (I'm a drummer by trade), can enjoy (discreetly) beer during staff zoom meetings. |

I still believe that we wouldn't be here had the government implemented a federal mask wearing mandate and proper social distance guidelines. We'd still have kids dying, we'd still have 'don't tread on me' morons picking personal and political convenience over trying to do the right thing for their fellow Americans, but a federal mandate may have cut our cases in half, and hell, might have save Trumps job. As ridiculous as it sounds, I'd take Trump as president in 2021 over all this death and loss. It's just so sad, selfish, and disappointing how many fellow Americans were taught to be so self centered during this pandemic |

Even with a mask mandate & distancing do you think the lions share of those pushing back on those 2 items would still disregard it?
I do. I also believe that we're going on month 7 of restrictions and some people's give-a-damn meters are either on or near E. I am not saying that as though I don't think it's right, but it just is. IMO, YMMV |

rouge's map shows WI is a mostly RED State, but canvasing votes isn't even done yet!
I thought about it, but didn't say anything politically political in my post above. It is REDiculous how divided people are on the COVID thing. |

On Halloween, the sheer number of people out trick or treating in my neighborhood was ridiculous. They were shoulder to shoulder, about 10-20% of the people I saw were wearing masks. I said that day we'd be having record numbers and here we are. None of this surprises me. |

My sister works for a school board where an employee came in to work despite having symptoms and infected pretty much the entire office including my sister who then passed it on to her son who has some underlying health issues. Lovely.
People are stupid. |

Kid in my son's class tested positive. 2 week quarantine starting for him now...yay!
Oh well, CHOP just suggested all schools in the area go back to full virtual starting this Monday anyway, so it is only a matter of time. |

The main worry for me and my wife (who works on SARS-CoV-2 research up the street at Duke) is whether a good chunk of the population agrees to take the vaccine when it is available. If there are too many anti-vaxxers, even a fantastic vaccine won't help much.

The seeming lack of ANY regard for public health by this country's population is gut-wrenching, honestly. As someone who's worked in public health for 15 years, I really thought this country was just better than this... What is happening now is SO much worse than it could have been. |

The virus infects people. If the people wear masks and wash hands and try to follow good protocols for social distancing, then it infects fewer people. That's all we need to know. As for a vaccine, I can't speak about anti-vaxxers. But I for one am ready for a dose at the earliest available opportunity. |

Fact: around 1200 childrens lives could have been saved from the flu over Obamas terms if only he had instated SIP and masks. Why didn't he? If Biden wins, why doesn't he instate mandatory masking, forever? Let me dig up a social media post about a 12yo boy who hung himself; I would post about the two kids at my daughters school who committed suicide in the last couple months (and none in the previous 5 years), but you would probably say 'so what'. See how stupid you sound? |
