I'm looking for a small metal roller too, my plastic box from walmart 20 years ago is insanely overfull...

Preferably $100 or less, can stretch to $150.

Any ideas?

harborfreight is killing it with their tool boxes as of late. The 4 drawer may be the ticket for you. But personally I'd get the 5 if you can stretch it. Wait for a compatible coupon from them, which comes out almost monthly and check https://www.hfqpdb.com/ for current deals/coupons. Oh and FB marketplace has a lot of used units too.

You mean this one?

Any reason its twice as expensive as the Craftsman?

Best guess, thicker gauge steel. The load rating is double the craftsman

Any thoughts?
there was the exact same question on the Touristenfahrerforum a few days ago. Someone with ATS superlight wheels has had the same problem. A few members recommend the SlimPOWER Alloy rim impact socket, deep from KS tools.

https://www.kstools.com/en/products/...ct-socket-deep

And if you remove the plastic, you gain a little bit more, look at the drawing and the dimensioning.

the outer diameter is identical to my existing one but that is likely inclusive of the plastic protective piece...

What is the OD you're after? Less than 31mm, less than 30mm?

Heat gun Seekone 1800W. I had to buy a new tool because my old one broke. This tool is very useful for me as I am constantly soldering plastic.

I've been wanting to replace my 12-13 year old DeWalt hammer drill with something newer for a couple of years now, it was the first gen LiIon model they made and has served me well, but one of the batteries died years ago and the other one is on it's last legs.

I've settled on going Milwaukee for replacement, buying into the M18 range as their dedication to support the platform is strong and the tools generally seem plenty sturdy and there's lots of options.

On that note, is this deal from Home Depot as good as it seems?

Home Depot Deal

I always have a hell of a time figuring out which models are up to date and not in their lineup as there's so many generations for sale at once, but seems like the main thing they're lacking is the one key system, which isn't necessary for me for non professional use?

Outside of an oscillating tool, chop saw and table saw, it seems to cover a lot of the other general needs?

GarageJournal has a Milwaukee deal thread, check if the Home Depot deal is being discussed in the last few pages? https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=379615&page=251

This Milwaukee tool deal came across my FB page a few days ago, seems killer as well

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...22RH/313668275

I got a really great deal on a dewault combo a few weeks ago, I think companies are periodically clearing out brushed tools these days. A brushed tool from a quality MFG is good enough for the girls I go out with.

I had that gun for almost 10 years, still runs now (definitely lost a step though). Doesn't compare to the bushless big Fuel, but it does fine as long as you're not using it as a bearing puller or doing axle nuts.

I don't use the ratchet I have enough to let that factor in too much, so for $200 I'd rather have an M12 stubby impact (my favorite Milwaukee tool sans the sawzall), or the mid-torque brushless Fuel (same 450 ftlbs as the brushed gun in your link), if only for the reduced weight/size and improved longevity.

But to get you started with Milwaukee (which I support ), sure, that's a lot of useable decent stuff for $200.

bearing puller and axel nuts are about my only uses for a big impact . I dont think im gonna bite just thought it was a good deal. Eratchet and 1/2 impact are kinda luxuries I don't really need, I think they are the only major etools I don't currently have though. Aside of course from 70v tampon dispenser and the brushless 3 phase usb power station.

Have a mix of Default and Borscht tools, wish I would have started with Milwaulkee since they have so much variety these days

If you’re open to owning both 12v and 18v lines, Milwaukee has everything you need.

I see the M18 12ah and 8ah kit is $200 now, I’ll probably grab one for my dad’s leaf blower.

Maybe I wasn't being fair.

It works just fine driving bearing pullers, and took off maybe 2/3rds of the axle nuts I ever used it on. When I had it, I told everyone how strong it was.

I've just been spoiled by the big FUEL in the last couple of years which makes an axle nut feel like a lug nut. Honestly, it is so overkill on a car that I hardly use it anymore.

The more I'm thinking about it now, the more I realize I'm forgetting how good my old one was.

Thanks,

looks like they're discussing a few other (lower price) deals, but none of the $600/6 tool + battery ones yet, but I'll keep an eye on it.

I'm fully committed to the makita ecosystem but I really wish I'd gone with Milwaukee, so many tools...
