Angry Warranty Issues with dealership

https://www.reddit.com/r/subaru/comm...eb2x&context=3

Here is the link with the picture.

I'm not the best writer so I will stick with bullet points to keep the long story short.

[09-2017] - 25 Miles

- I bought my 2018 Subaru WRX (base) in September of 2019 and bought extended warranty (7yr/ 70k) along with a maintenance package.

- At that time, I was told by the Finance lady (Michelle Shory) that updating the plan is as easy as calling them and paying the difference.

[07-2019] - 35, 295 Miles

- I called McKenna Subaru of Huntington Beach (CA) to extend my warranty and was helped out by a man named Stephen Lim.

- Stephen told me the same thing as Michelle and said I would just need to pay the difference between the two maintenance packages.

- Stephen proceeds to take my credit card info and said " I will get it done and I will send you a document to sign. " Which I never received.

- Stephen disappears for several days and stops returning my phone calls.

- When I finally get a hold of him, he explained that I would have to cancel my current plan and re-purchase the longer plan all together. He says this is protocol.

- At this point everything has gone sour, and I have asked for him to cancel my plan and I was going to purchase the extended warranty else where.

- He sends me the cancellation form which I DID NOT sign - See pictures attached. The numbers are way off.

[10-2020] - 50,XXX Miles

- I call Subaru of Antelope Valley to get my throw out bearing checked out because it is making a ticking noise. I know it is my throw out bearing because I have had it replaced prior.

- I talked to a service manager from Antelope Valley and he kindly informs me that my extended warranty has now been cancelled.

[10-2020] 50,XXX Miles

- I am now waiting for Subaru of America to respond. They are currently investigating.

At this point, I am extremely disappointed with Subaru and I would just like to inform others about this dealership. This information is not to trash people, but I am just stating factual information for others to have as knowledge if they ever come across this dealership. I am not sure if they forged my signature or did not follow protocol when cancelling my extended warranty, but all I know is that I never signed the cancellation form for them to cancel my warranty.

If you guys have any suggestions on how I could handle this, I am listening.

Thank you for reading.

- I bought my 2018 Subaru WRX (base) in September of 2019 and bought extended warranty (7yr/ 70k) along with a maintenance package. Maintenance plan is only good up to 42k miles.

- At that time, I was told by the Finance lady (Michelle Shory) that updating the plan is as easy as calling them and paying the difference. Updating the plan to what?

exactly what wrxlaunch said -- Powertrain is good for 5yr/60k. I'm not sure why they are giving you a hard time, unless you have mods, but I'm assuming that you are stock since you were trying to do an extended warranty.

Wow sounds like every dealer I've ever dealt with. Smh, sorry about your situation, good luck with "Subaru of America".
