1979 DL Swap EJ22T
So I have been working on this for a couple months now. I will do my best to keep it updated. I have a 1979 subaru wagon. I am putting a EJ22T from a 91 legacy with a 5speed into my wagon. Including full drive train. Its definitely a project. Here is a link to my photos. I will update them when I have more along with adding them to this post.

Very cool! I've got a '75 4WD wagon that I plan to swap a 12A into, so I'm interested to see what you've got planned!

Working on the cross member right now. The left one is from the 79 and the right is out of the 91 legacy donor car. I am hoping to shorten the 91 x-member so I can use the power steering and then the mounting locations for the A arm's. If not the 79 x-member will need to be notched and re strengthened so the up pipe will be able to fit.

Custom X-member done.
Finally got my cross member back. Its started as a 91 legacy turbo cross member and was shortened to fit into the 78 frame rails. About 1 3/4 inches needed to be cut off of each side. Using the 91 legacy cross member will allow me to use the 91 suspension and the power stearing from the 91. I am able to use the stick motor mounts from the 91 also. It's a snug fit. But it doens fit. I'm going to have to notch the frame rails a tiny bit so the valve cover bolt doesnt sit on it. If anyone needs measurements or help. I would be happy to help. This project has been a handfull to say the least.
