Wow, they putting 7 teams per conference in the playoffs now. Only 1 bye.

Also 17 game season with 3 game preseason.

New CBA proposal needs to be signed off by players.

3 preseason games is still too long. 2 is more like it.

17 games should come with a second bye IMO. Not sure how I feel about the playoff schedule. I would have preferred 6 teams but seeded by record (regardless of division titles).

2014 second overall pick Greg Robinson and two others were arrested by US border agents trying to cross into El Paso with 157lbs of marijuana. The three are being held without bound and are facing 20 years in prison.

The Browns have already announced he will not be returning to the team in 2020.

I guess the silver lining here is they were caught by US authorities and not Federales

Seriously.

I'd rather not pay for the extra home game preseason ticket.

2 preseason games and extra bye would be better. Everybody gets a bye in weeks 4-7 and a second in weeks 10-13. Breaks up the season better into four week stints.

Also, unless these talks have been going on in secret, I have a hard time believing this is going to be wrapped up "in a few weeks". Expanding the playoffs/more regular season games was s major point of contention between the NFL owners and the NFLPA that ultimately lead to the 2011 lockout.

Only one team getting a bye could be interesting. If a couple of years go by with the #1 seed consistently getting bounced, we may see teams "fighting" for the "2 slot"

Eh, probably could have paid off the Federales a lot easier than the prison industrial complex. What an idiot either way.

Depending on the region, the locals might've handed them over to the local cartel, which would've be only slightly better than going to Mexican prison as an American.

I went to Puerto Vallarta in December and had the time of my life. Obviously it's one of the more touristy areas of Mexico (although not as gringo-ized as Cabo or Cancun) so it was super safe, but goes to show that Mexico isn't all bad. I had a few people give me the "You're going to Mexico?? You're going to get kidnapped and robbed!" reaction when I told them about my trip but I just brushed their comments off as it's painfully obvious when people are showing their ignorance that's based in anecdotal beliefs.

My brother goes to Tijuana multiple times a year and has even brought his kid on a few occasions dating back to when he was 1 year old (he's 4 now). Again, it all depends on what cities and even what parts of the city you go to, but he swears that he feels safer in many parts of TJ than he does in his hometown of LA

Guy I know back in the US would message me out of the blue and "jokingly" ask if I'd been kidnapped yet. Guy probably doesn't even have a passport but can tell you how terrible everywhere but the US is. I'll give you 1 guess who he voted for.

I bet he thinks Canadians have the worst health care system in North America too.

It's a miracle the NFL hasn't sustained heavy casualties playing games in Mexico. England is one thing, but have you seen how many brown people are down there?

I've been to Cabo 3x in the last 2 years, heading to Puerta for the first time in 2 weeks. Cabo is becoming our preferred quick getaway instead of Vegas.

Emmitt Smith is in Jerry's corner saying that Dak Prescott shouldn't put himself before the team and take a "hometown discount" and recoup the lost money in endorsements.

This is awkward...

Quote:
In 1993, he missed all of training camp and the first 2 regular season games. The Cowboys lost both contests with rookie*Derrick Lassic*running in his place. With the season in jeopardy the Cowboys relented and reached an agreement, making Smith the highest paid running back in the league.

I had a Marine buddy that was stationed in San Diego. Him and his squadmates used to go down to TJ on the weekends and make extra money bouncing for the bars down there. They got to kick peoples' asses and get paid for it with zero risk of getting in trouble for it since they were out of the country.

I am not sure why it is awkward. Emmett has had almost 30 years to think about that, sounds like he realized it was a mistake. Dak has a choice to take 40million and cripple the team or take 25million and have someone to block for him.
