I heard there was a fitment issue going coilovers on the 18x9.5 +45 wheel size. Is this true? I did plan on going some coils but I didn't want to rub the suspension.

Hey guys! I have a 2020 WRX Premium with the 4pot brembo brakes. Are there any 17" wheels that will work with this? I live in a heavy winter area and would like to downsize from my 18"s

Clearance should be similar, if not the same as the previous year 4pot brembos. ('04-'17 STI)

MOST 17" wheels will clear, spoke clearance is more of a concern.

Thank you for the information. Are there any specific wheels you can point me towards? Or what should I be looking for when it comes to spoke clearance?

What "the 4pot brembo brakes" are you using? OEM Subaru brakes from earlier STIs, or an aftermarket Brembo kit? Either way, why are you asking in this thread about wheel fitment on the '18+ STI with it's completely different brake setup?

Edit: If you're using OEM Subaru Brembos, see the sticky threads - https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=448097.

I would be looking at wheels that have confirmed fitment for 08-14 STI. They will have the same or very similar caliper and body clearance to your car.
(and the same bolt pattern)

Did you have a style, or brand, or maybe color in mind? Send me a PM, I'd love to help you out!

The 2020 WRXs can now be spec'd with optional Brembos. It's apart of the "Performance Package" I believe. From what I've seen, they're the same 4pot Brembos we've seen on all previous year STIs, as well as the BRZs with the performance package.

I honestly didn't even realize what thread this was in, we were all new here once...

Following up on this-- does anyone know if the 18+ WRX wheels fit over the 2018+ STI brembos?

I can't find it now, but I read somewhere that they won't clear the brakes?
The 2016-2017 WRX 18" wheels do fit over the 18+ brembos. Picture here from this thread here

I just hope you are not spending 275 bucks a rim on stock wheels for winter. Way better options.

Just wanted to confirm that Wedssport TC105Ns' in 18x9.5 +35 will clear the '18+ brembos with plenty of clearance. No spacers needed. ***65532;

Yes they do. I just picked up a set of these for my 19. I'll work on getting some pictures uploaded. They clear by approx 2.37mm at the narrowest point over the caliper

Well if I could figure out how to post the images i'd put them on here but it doesn't seem to want to let me post any attachments. disappointing since this thread was the whole reason I made an account here. There are some pictures of the OEM 18x8.5 +55 WRX wheels on my 19 STI on my IG, FLCN_STI. If I can figure out the attachments on here Ill get the pictures posted here as well.

Your easiest bet is to just download the Tapatalk app.

Cross posting from the 2015 STI wheel fitment thread. Just found this thread so I guess I should have posted here first.

=======
Here are some test fit shots of a Motegi Traklite 3, on an otherwise stock car. They are 18x9.5 et45. Going to be fitting a set of 265/35zr18 tires on them for autox. Tires will be mounted next week.
I did a better test going full lock left and right but realized that until I've got the tires fit it's pretty much useless info.

Those are nice motegi wheels. Can't wait to see them with tires and on the ground!

Wish I had some better shots. Have been too busy to go for a real drive.
Edit:. I should add that the clearance is good at static stock height. Not sure if that will remain the same while under an autocross run. I'll know on the 1st and 2nd of February.

xpystchrisx, anyway you could get a straight on side picture? trying to see what the fender gap looks like from the side with your fitment.

Sweet color combo also good choice.

Let me know if that works. I can get some daylight shots later today. Still has all of the soap from install on the tires.

Works great man appreciate the shots. What is that like a 3 finger gap front rear? Trying to decide between 255/40 and 265/35 w stock suspension is why I am asking.

Thank you

I'd call it about 2.5 front and back. I like this level of ride height, and my biggest struggle with doing any suspension is that I don't want to be lower.
I like the 265/35. I will know how they perform early next month.

Anyone able to determine if the wheel in this diagram would clear the 2018+ STI Brakes?

It is an 18x8 +48
