I have a bone stock 2018 STI.
Was curious about going E85 and had some basic questions.
I also dont want to modify the car too much.
I had a bone stock CTT e85 2015 WRX and really loved it.
I have the cobb ap and I know cobb offers the ethanol sensor kit.
What would be the difference in HP/TQ from stock to e85 with your tune versus e85, fuel injectors, and a fuel pump with your tune?
What would you suggest as far running e85 with as little modifications as possible?
Just picking your brain because I really loved my previous CTT.
Thanks

You would need the flex fuel kit and larger fuel injectors like Cobb 1050X and the cobb/AEM fuel pump. You would need the CTT flex fuel protune map. A stock car makes 239 whp here A stage 1 tune makes about 270. On E85 300 to 320 is typical. If you get exhaust and intake they make 300+ on 91 and 350 to 360 on E85.

Thank you again Clark for helping me get my unnecessarily complex setup running.

2013 Subaru WRX (Hatchback) - Have Cobb AP v3 w/ Cobb SF Intake. Going to get full Cobb exhaust with downpipe. Which one would everyone recommend for more power, replace TMIC with better aftermarket one, or do a FMIC? (Currently running AP set to STAGE 1 + SF (using 93)).

Upon reading much of this forum with still some to go - before getting either TM or FMIC , it's best to get a good recirc value, and a DW65C fuel pump?

Thoughts on A/O separator?

Thanks in advance everyone.

Is a tune needed after install Dw65c? Had one of the techs at work install and car ran like ****. Inconsistent idles, fuel pump going from 33,66,100. Car stalled at one point. Had him put OEM fuel pump back in and went away. Bad fuel pump or needs tuned after pump install? Figured after injectors it would obviously needed tuned...any help is much appreciated

Your tech did not install the pump correctly. Read the DW instructions. You move the stock spacer from the stock pump over to the new pump with 2 O rings.

Getting ready to put my order in by tonight for your site. Running Cobb 2.5 inch full turbo back exhaust. Is it advisable to remove the cats? If so, can you make the new map clear the CEL if it comes on from removing cats? Or do you recommend keeping them? Emissions...meh. Pros, cons?

If the car is to be used on street, do not remove them or get a good exhaust with hiflow Cat. There will be no real power difference and the car wont pass emissions without the cat.

I just want to confirm the pricing on your site for the Cobb flex fuel kit and flex fuel E-tune. Is $800.00 correct for the combo if we order the kit from you?

That is a hell of a deal for the Cobb kit and a flex fuel tune.

It depends on the car. Some cars use an FF kit that runs 600. The 800 combo is for those cars. On older cars the kit is 800 and the combo is 1000. Yes, That is a very good deal and was an old sales price But I will honor it.

Hey there Clark...
I’ve got a 2006 WRX Wagon 5MT with a VF48, ID1000cc Fuel Injectors, 2013 STI TMIC, IAG AOS, AEM Fuel Pump, 3” Catless Turbo Back Exhaust, Cone Shaped AFE Air Filer (stock inlet tube) and a Turbo Smart BOV...

...Wanted to know if you thought I needed to upgrade to a GS/Cobb Boost Controller, and 1 step colder NGK or Denso spark plugs before purchasing a tune from you...?

Also I would like to delete the air pump under the hood...is that cel something you could delete via the tune?

Thanks so much,
John McGee

I would recommend NGK2309 plugs for this setup. A 3 port is a good idea. By now your stock boost control lines are probably worn and need replacement anyways and with a 3 port, the lines will be new. When you are ready just order the custom protune map on my website. Or let me know if you need the parts and I can send you an invoice for the plugs, 3 port and tune.
